Honda Del Sol P28 runs perfect, solid cel and no fuel pump priming??
Hi guys, i've googled a lot and watched almost every thread in this forum.
The car runs perfectly and starts without problems. But I still get a solid cel and the fuel pump doesnt prime (makes no sense because the car starts??).
When I pull the fuse 24 and put it back many times the cel comes on for 2 seconds and goes away and the fuel pump primes like it should! But only for one time.
What I also figured out is when I unplug the Connector A on the ECU and plug it back in it also works but also only for one time, then I need to unplug and plug it in again.
I already changed the main relais with a good known one.
What could it be? A short in a wire? The ECU fried? Maybe only Capacitors or IC17?
The problem came from a day to another.
I hope u can help me!

I don't understand your symptom. Are you suggesting that when you turn the key on, the CEL stays illuminated and the fuel pump DOES NOT prime, but you can start the car and it runs and drives fine anyway ?
If you hear closely you will notice that the main Relais doesn’t click like it should.
so what are the symptoms for this?? Can it be the ecu? The ignition switch? I already replaced the main Relais and checked all grounds.
You have caps/IC's in the ECU going bad. The sooner you get it repaired, as in YESTERDAY, the better chance you have of actually saving the ECU. Your "Key Dance" is merely coincidental... the delay times will simply get longer and longer until it just doesn't work any more. The ECU in my Del Sol started showing this symptom a month ago and now it takes over ten minutes to charge the main relay and prime the fuel system. I am replacing the ECU this week.

thank you. Seems like it’s really the ECU. I just got the new ECU and the car act normal with the new ECU. Just need to exchange the Immobilizier Chip.
I also replaced all the transistors in the old ECU but that didn’t helped much. I think I also need to change the QM3 Chip and the ECU is good to go.
