LSV B20B low comp Turbo
Ok so I'm planning on putting a stock (for now) b20b low comp in my Teggy with a GSR head and blackworks LS VTEC kit on a eBay tubro, ARP headstuds super tech dual spring/valves with 1000cc injectors
I know I have to tap the GSR head for the VTEC kit to workdo I need anything else, what should I Invest in probably need a vtec water pump? Or should I be good to go?

Re: Hi My Name is Quinn and I need your Help(:your going to have a few problems
1st b20 dowel pins wont fit the GSR head, drill your head with a drill and reamer to the exact size of dowel, or buy a kit that comes with a head gasket but its pricey
2nd not only are you going to tap the cylinder head for VTEC to work but your going to have to plug a oil hole in the cylinder head or else your motor will leak oil! (bottom of head around cylinder 4 intake side hole about a 0.250 or 1/4inch)
3rd you need to run a b20 head gasket
i recommended double checking your timing belt adjustment make sure not to tight and not to wonky
hope this helps

You are going to probably want to have the rods shot penned and use arp rod bolts as well, for added insurance. Tuning will be key to keep this motor together. B20 sleeves are not reliable at over 300whp and neither are your stock internals. Find a competent tuner and make sure he understand the rpm and hp limitations of a stock internal B20....

Re: Noob Need Help
The Blackworks kit comes with dowel pins to mate the GSR head with the B20 block so no drilling required for that.
It also includes a threaded plug for the oil port in the head but OP will have to tap the hole.
ARP rod bolts are a good call, non-VTEC B-series rod bolts are notoriously weak. IIRC they are the same as the ones in D motors.
