Troubleshooting: AEM X Series wideband and s300 management
TROUBLESHOOTING help needed
hey guys,
so I recently installed an aem x series wideband, I ran the aem power to under dash fuse panel, the aem ground to thermostat housing ground, the white aem wire to d10 (eld) the problem I am having is the wideband gauge and s manager display do not match up, the gauge will read around 14.00 and s manager just sits at 19.16 afr unless the car is given gas and it will jump around a little bit (typically dropping) but nowhere near the correct value of the gauge, usually about 5 units of afr different. things I can weed out of the trouble shoot inclue :
1) the white signal wire is definitely in d 10 on the ecu.
2) the eld resistors on the ecu are removed 136 and 138
3) the aem gauge has the best ground it can get.
4) the s300 is asked to read for d10.
I will post a copy of the calibration I am using to try and diagnose this wideband issue.. any and all help is appreciated, this is cross posted on the hondata forum. maybe I am missing something or have incorrect values.. I'm really stumped on this and cannot find a similar issue!

That is strange. I just hooked mine up exactly how you described and it reads pretty close even with a separate ground.
Try these
- is “disable eld” checked in parameters?
- sure you got the right pin and getting voltage at the white wire? Test with voltmeter. If the gauge isn’t putting out a signal it could be faulty.

it is turned off in paramters, I will check voltage tomorrow, I'm sure it is considering giving it gas does affect the reading.. just isn't correct haha.. idk man.. ***** been driving me up a damn wall.. guess ill get a voltmeter on it tomorrow. I heard that in plugging the sensor pushes a perfect voltage.. so maybe I will try that and see what is changed.. if possible could you post a picture of your closd loop settings?

with the key in the on position, and the sensor in the ready position, I get a constant 5.00 volts at d10 can someone confirm this is normal..?

Re: trouble with aem x series wideband and s300
So the wideband pushes 5.00 volts at idle when the gauge reads perfect..if I give it gas, the voltage drops but nowhere near to the correct value. Im starting to lose it lol

Re: Troubleshooting: AEM X Series wideband and s300 management
Sounds like the wideband may be faulty or wired wrong? It should put out around 2.53 volts when the A/F reads 14.7.
