Alert: SJ Area, Lock Up Your Car! Damn Thieves
On Feb 10th, 2011 at 12:50 am, my wife's car was a victim of another hi-jacking attempt. However, this time, it teaches us a lesson that "higher-end" cars can be thieves as well. Therefore... BEWARE!
While resting peacefully, we suddenly hear the 2-way pager going off indicating that the hood is open! Upon seeing this, I immediately run outside--while hearing the car's siren simultaneously going off--I see a White BMW 2000 5 series 4-door speed away.
Side note: I will speak with my neighbors about whether or not his cameras have recorded this attempt and update this thread later.
For those of you who haven't read my last thieves getting caught, the thread link is indicated below:

3rd attempt on Feb 22, Tuesday morning at 3:30am. Man these thieves never give up. This time they broke the upper grill and using a different get away car. San Jose beware and lock up your belongings because these thieves will keep trying to take your hard earn work.
Parents car parks In garage. I'm thinking of renting a garage, hate having to always worry about thieves. Although they haven't stole the car, it's still a set back trying to figure out new ways, improving new layers of sercruity. Next upgrade will be a bat to beat them on the head and sercruity cameras.

Thieves in the valley steal cars in broad daylight and strip them in public view. Jackers are very bold in Stockton. How easy is it to bypass a kill switch? Right now I'm trying to figure out the best security for my car before I throw on a lot of my parts. any suggestions?
This is very helpful, thanks. Whats the average price of one of these alarms with install?? Also, what about the hood pins that lock with a key?
Do you know of any websites that give instructions on the best way to install kill switches?? I appreciate the help. I work hard to fix up my Hondas and can't afford to stay up all night to protect my car like I did as a kid.
When I was a kid I had a Civic with a swap, cf hood, and no windows in the doors.
Had to chase thieves with a weapon quite frequently
