Hopefully I hear back sometime this week, or at latest next, that my longblock is ready for pickup. I'm about at a point where I kind of need the engine in the bay so I can figure out the final mounting position for certain things, how much wire to run, etc.
While I'm in San Antonio picking up the engine I'll drop off my injectors for cleaning and flow testing as well.

Manifold showed up today. Looks decent but the turbo flange is warped and needs to be "milled" flat. Picked up ls jokers ID1000's and some ev14 - ev1 conversion plugs to go with them.

I use those conversion plugs too. Prepare to have your mind blown for how easy it is to disconnect injectors if all you've ever known is OEM connectors with the wire lock on them.

I havent driven it around the block yet but did some 2 stepping in the garage and built some boost. No leaks but ill have to take a charge pipe off and check for oil.

Just placed an order for more composite materials.
Going to place an order later today to redo my engine harness. Ive had some wires break right at the connector seal a couple years ago so thats been on my to do list for a while.
Going to add in some dt-12 connectors at the intake manifold and coil plug harness to make those things easier to service.

Super convenient but poking the wire ends of an ev1 connector with a pick is no big deal.

After all my deliberating, I've settled on getting some bronze DR57 15x8 +35 wheels for my own car, unless they're out of stock in which case I'll just shoot an extra $1K bullet into myself and get the TE37s instead.
Haven't made a lot of progress on my car the last couple weeks, but that'll change soon... Still moving forward, just the usual bullshit and dealing with some lack of motivation lately - Wiring all this crap in is just easily my least favorite job to do. Taking longer than I anticipated getting the engine back.

Productive trip to the junkyard.
For the sake of discussion throw out some guesses of year and model
I also found a b18 block literally sitting in the isle so the only logical thing to do was to check if the crank was any good and sure enough it was mint so snatched that thing out real quick. Thank god for my m18 impact

i still need a p28 and a dyno around Virginia Beach also I figured I didn’t want to spend 700$ tuning it so I was just going to have a base map burnt and see if it’s running rich enough for me. I want to tell whoever I get to tune it to go easy on the timing also. This is my daily. Should I get the 2 bar Omni? I know I don’t need a 4 bar lol.

What is it that I don't know about an LS crank? I know there's b18s being scrapped complete daily out here.
