We LOVE us some Kroil 'round these parts. We use that **** by the case at work! We even stock gallon jugs!
Works well for cleaning grease and oil off your hands, it just gives you cancer over time haha
Gallon jugs to refill a spray bottle? That would be the bomb! I think I would just coat the bottom of the EG every fall...
My wife came out after I finished applying to the Civic, she was all like "That stuff smells!"
Glad I Kroil'd everything, the fasteners were tight!
At first I was wishing Honda would have fitted my Si with LCAs that were tapped. By the time all was said and done I was glad I went through the exercise so I could clean up all the threads on everything.
I got the LCAs swapped to new ones, and got the EX sway bar mounted, but I got stopped short of victory. I could not attach the sway bar to the LCAs due to lack of clearance with my exhaust.
Got to spend some time on the hatch this weekend and replaced the RTABs.
Big thanks to @civic402lx for lending me a Schley tool to do this. Easy-peasy, the RTAs stay on the car. Press the old ones out, press the new ones in. I will say this, the old ones deploy hard when they come out! There is a reason they have that little leash on the tool to catch the old bushing when it deploys...
No more squeak/clunk from the PS rear - yay! The pass side bushing was completely separated up top.
I measured the depth of the RTAB on each side before and after replacement. The Schley tool lets you set the depth very precisely.
Loaded each side and then torqued the RTAB bolts to 47 ft-lbs.

Thanks for the positive words y'all! I am really looking forward to getting her back on the road. I have overcome so many little issues w/ her since the start of this project...
I like the 22mm itr/ctr myself. Course ya gotta get subframe brace, but its worth it. Paid 80shipped for an old stock, out if business, left over bwr brace. Its green but i dont care. Serves my purposed.
Not much new here, but I figured out it was 20 years ago this week that I bought my little EH3.
20 years ago - seriously?!?
I guess I can report that the A'PEXi WS2 80mm Universal muffler will NOT fit in the back of an EG hatch. I wish they knew that when I called looking for a muffler...

I managed to cobble together a bolt-on OEM Type-R system for my 94 hatchback with b-series.
- Any header with 2.5" collector (I have a PLM Narrow)
- JDM DC2 Type-R 2.5" catalytic converter
- JDM DC2 Type-R B-pipe (96-spec has 2 resonators, 98-spec has 3)
- JDM EK9 muffler
Now I can sneak out of the garage at 5:30am without waking up the wife & kids (and neighbors).
Question: does the EK9 muffler have 2.5" inlet? Or do you think it might be closer to 60mm?
