Transmission/drivetrain build:
- DC5 ITR LSD
- 4.76FD (current is 4.38)
- SynchroTech master rebuild kit with all carbon synchros, bearings, seals
- New OEM Honda second gear/sleeve set (trans has 155K and only just started popping out of second after a downshift, then getting on/off the gas)
- Exedy stage 1 clutch (got over a dozen first-hand experience recommendations from guys making more torque than I am in a supercharged Honda group - they swear by it)
- ACT Streetlite flywheel (11.5lbs. nothing insane)
- Insane shafts 500hp rated axles
- New OEM S2000 clutch master cylinder
- New OEM slave cylinder
- Amsoil synchromesh

BC Racing DR (Digressive piston) full coilover with custom rates. 12K/10K or 672lb./560lb. From their website:

"BC Racing Coilovers NEW DR Series is perfect for street driving and occasional road course duty. With easily accessible adjustment ***** for fine tuning your compression/rebound and separately adjustable ride height, having a performance coilover system couldn’t be any easier. You choose how low or high you want your vehicle, no preset ride height here, and patented concave lower locking ring keeps it locked in. Ride height is adjusted by raising and lowering the shock body; this maintains the same ideal damper stroke at ALL ride height levels for the best ride under any conditions. The pillowball mount option provides the most available feedback possible from your suspension and to sharpen your steering response. All this while providing a strong, attractive looking coilover system.

The DR series BC Racing Coilovers use a large 44mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximize oil capacity. As the damper unit operates the oil contained within heats up. The viscosity of oil changes as it's temperature varies which can lead to changes in the damping characteristics of the unit.

BC Racing Coilovers use a very high quality oil with their coilovers but go that extra mile to maximise performance and build their BR range with a large 53mm diameter damper body. This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of oil which in turn reduces the peak temperature and significantly improves damper performance."

Normally I'd go with rear-biased/stiffer springs for rotation, but I am going for a bigger rear swaybar to add rotation if needed instead. It's already going to be pretty stupid stiff for daily driving, so any little added "softness" in the rear will help the ride a bit. I plan on grabbing a Progress rear competition adjustable 22mm sway bar/crossmember reinforcement kit.

With the new sus, LSD, and shorter final drive this thing will be an entirely different beast on the street.
Used the insane shafts 500hp axles in my old supercharged K-98 hatch. Great choice

Car looks great, pretty jealous of the SC K in there. Always great to see old school guys on here, I remember your car and you posting back in the day. I have randomly been coming on here a lately and should start an old school build thread on here when I tear my car apart.....even if there is not nearly the site traffic there used to be lol

Well something to keep in mind that isn't pictured on mine is that unless you modify the shaft on the S2K cmc you will need a spacer to get the proper pedal travel. I don't *think* my m/c is actually bad, but since my clutch action is so **** right now with the failing T.O bearing I'm having new clutch hydraulics on hand just in case. The spacer looks like this:

...and I ordered one from Amazon
HERE HERE
so I won't need to modify the new one I bought, if I end up using it. If I don't use the new m/c then I'll return it to Honda, and return the spacer.

First, your car is beautiful. Read through the whole thread and I don't care if someone else built it, either. It's gorgeous.

Second, I'll be watching what you're doing here to get some tips for my own car.

Those BC's (and other gear) are sweet! Can't wait for the review on those.

Talk about perfect timing. I knew my throwout bearing was dying, and it literally came apart as I pulled the car into the driveway of the shop that's building the transmission. Competition Clutch LOL! Wasn't my choice. It was in the car when I bought it.

Also second gear was hammered.

Got a new second gear, hub, slider, etc. etc. All new synchros and bearings as well:

Insane Shafts 500hp rated axles:

So i should be picking the hatch up today. Probably going to get it dyno'd, and have the tune tweaked if needed. The transmission builder is an excellent tuner as well. One stop shopping y0!
