Awesome! Can you give me the short list on your lift and wheel/tires? ...I have an '05 that I have had for 3 years, and I know the complete history on (was a 1-owner), but I really keep wanting another Element...Or I want to lift the CRV....????
Try the performance thread or searching the forum. Your vehicle will have a completely different list than a 1st gen.
Above picture was back in May of 2017 with no lift at all. Bottom picture is my V today with my lift: Tema4x4 30mm spacers all around, KYB shocks all around, OME springs in the rear
The rear no longer rubs on bumps now. Before, with just the OME springs... it would still rub on large bumps or on dips when going fast. Also, the front doesn't rub on the fender anymore when turning into a ramp like it used to. It still rubs on turns though, but thats more the tire rubbing against the body more so than the top of the tire rubbing the fender. I've trimmed the bumper and some plastic pieces and its helped a lot. A little more trimming and I shouldn't have any more problems with rubbing... or at least I hope (fingers crossed).
Thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking that the weld pinches in the wheel wells would give you trouble? Your top photo looks aggressive. I'm using 225/70/15 tires and luv them! Very meaty! What is the offset of your wheels? I will be looking for some lighter rims and better tires soon!

Yeah, before the lift it would rub a lot. In the top photo, I had to put my wheels and tires on because I had a flat on my stock wheels. So suspension was completely stock in that top photo and my car would rub all the time on every turn and every bump, and I only drove it locally from home to work nearby until I got my rear OME springs. With just the rear OME springs, the ride got much better but would still rub on hard bumps and turns so I then got the 30mm spacers all around. Much better now, just have to do a bit more trimming to the front bumper then I should have zero rubbing from now on.
The offset of my wheels is 0. I also use 9mm wheel spacers to clear the calipers.
Question all!! Has anyone had any alignment issues after they have lifted their CRV? I seem to be having a bit of a toe issue that keeps coming back. Front end is tight (ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, control arms)
(GEN 2, 2004, CR-V 2.4 AWD)

Yeah, you should always get an alignment after a lift. You wanna make sure those big expense tires last as long as they can. Also any good shop will check all your ball joints, control arms, tie rods etc.

Front camber bolts and rear control arms solves that issue.. Mine is lifted 30mm (gen2 2006) and alignment is according to oem spec with above installed
I did get an alignment after i lifted it, (I wouldnt dare lift something without aligning it afterwards lol). Ithe alignment was performed and everything was in spec after the alignment, i put in adjustable control arms, camber bolts (in both upper and lower bolt holes in the strut) and with everything done i was at factory spec.ClabbeB did you notice a significant drop in fuel economy as well? I was expecting a drop but not almost half. I have it booked in for another alignment next week to see the specs (maybe the shop didnt align it properly). I usually do all my own stuff but i no longer work in a shop. The memory steer could be a possibility hmmmm......
