The assembly I got was actually very clean, so I didn't have to do much for that before just dropping it in (or in this case, lifting it up lol).

I'd recommend using white lithium grease for the tracks/rails. I've used white lithium for window rollers that have gotten stuck before, or made a lot of squeaking, with success. The sunroof rails function the same way.

My memory is fuzzy, but I *think* Honda uses Urea grease for the actual tracks. They use Shin-Etzu grease for all silicon rubber such as door seals, run channels, moonroof rubber, etc.

I don't have a service manual to reference, but if anyone does it should absolutely list the Honda p/n for the OEM lube used for the tracks in the moonroof section.

Nice work dude!

Urea Grease? I will look that up - thank you.

Got some interior work done today, going back to the garage tomorrow so should be able to get some more done.

B16 swap will be either late November or December (need to schedule time from work to get it done the way I want it). Then I'll be saving for turbo upgrade.

Big shout out to Keith from Kdezines.com for providing a great rear seat delete kit. Guy makes these to order. He was super easy to talk to on the phone, makes a great looking product that installs perfectly, and even includes instructions with the kit.

I had my sunroof glass blow out along the interstate one night. I've heard of sunroof glass blowing out while driving at excessive speeds (two cases and both were Integras), but this wasn't the case. It appears the tar like glue that holds the glass to the frame simply gave up. As far as sunrooof operational issues go there is a small spring on each side that keeps tension on the black slider. The spring pulls the black slider to the rear of the car. The black slider allows the rear of the sunroof to pop up.
I have had a SIR-ll (170hp version) B16 swap in my Si for a few years now. It performs flawlessly, except ZERO torque. The additional compression over the standard b16 with Pr3 pistons does seem to make a difference in my opinion.

It appears the trunk delete takes up a bit of usable space just like the JDM rear interior. I haul a bike in the back quite often and wouldn't go the Jdm route again. The rear seat delete does look nice and simple though.

How do you like the ride on your Progress coilovers? I was considering getting them with 350F/350R spring rates but I'm concerned that might be too soft in the front

Yep, entirely right. The adhesive just gave up. And the springs you're talking about were completely rusted on my old assembly which was why I ended up just having to replace the entire thing.

The rear seat delete does sit a bit high, since it's designed to sit over the rear seat mounting tab in the event the user ever wants to go back to a 4 seater car.

B16 swap is just stage 1 of the powerplant build, after that turbo is stage 2, and then I'll be building a CSS 1.8L with more compression and some extra bolt ons for the final portion.

450/350 for me right now feels like it will be the perfect combination of street and some light autocross/track duty, but I have yet to get to try them on any course.

You could always call Progress and talk to them about what the car will be used for, and what your intended ride height is. They could probably suggest a couple different rate options for you.

My damn photos keep getting messed up in this thread or going offline... I'll repost a photo of the full rear interior here in a minute.

You guys and your stories about the moonroof glass blowing off has me paranoid. I have done 130+mph a few times with my moonroof open, but I won't again.

The problem with mine was when I put my new glass insert on my old assembly, the alignment was off and not flush with the roof, creating a lip on the gasket that was being pulled from air resistance on the highway.

On a properly working system I don't think this would be an issue.

My sunroof and windows were closed at the time lift off happened and I was going about 75-80mph. Like Chance said I believe there is some sort of suction on the roofline that causes this.

If you use the attachment tool (paperclip) and then the Attach tag instead of the IMG tag, you will have an easier time methinks.

I think it's a more permanent solution too but not sure as your tags are pulling from honda-tech ibserver...

Got the driver and passenger door panels and glovebox back on and rewired the power mirrors to start working again. Interior is complete again for the first time in a long while. Very excited to eventually top it all off with some Buddy Club seats.

I've also fixed a few other inconsistencies and problems with the work done by the body shop, just blemishes. Interior and exterior are now pretty much done.

OBD1 B16A complete swap w/ LSD will be purchased either on December 1st or 15th (pay days). The D16 is having some major issues now with floating idle, the exhaust is rusted with holes, drivers side CV axle just started ticking, and the car lurches hard because of something in the drivetrain. Can't really "idle" or just "cruise" forward at speeds under like 15mph

Not worth my time to fix. I absolutely hate D series engines anyway, always have. Will drop the engine late this month and start cleaning out the engine bay, pressure washing, etc, to get it ready for a clean swap. AC/PS will be preserved, and the swap will be 99% stock until I slap a turbo kit on it sometime early-ish next year.

Edit: Seriously need to find time to get some decent full-body shots of this car now, and actually clean/detail it. Just been so choked for time lately that I'm constantly tearing **** apart or putting things back together. 25 year old cars just like to fall apart little by little.

That rear seat delete looks great! How does the X-Brace mount up with the seat delete in place? More pics please!

Yeah the rear seat delete looks badass. Do you use the front area for storage?

Haven't had time to mount up the X brace yet, I need to do some work behind those panels. I'll definitely take some pics once it's in.

I'm planning on using it for a methanol tank in the future, just need to see what pump and line requirement that would leave me.

There's a fair bit of room available under there though, I'll get some pictures next time I'm with the car.

Plot twist:

Bought another 93, black hatch. Salvage title, it will be used only for parts.

The car came on 15" Si wheels, Function & Form Type 1 Coils, ASR rear sub brace, Function 7 LCA, Authentic BYS rear duckbill (I have the badge inside). The engine and trans are B16A, I'll be checking to see if the trans has an OEM LSD in it (doubtful). Car also has a "chipped" P72 and a short shifter, also some other goodies I can part out.

Compression test on the B16A came out as follows (cold, dry test): 200, 180, 180, 205.

Those aren't terrible results, but not the best either. I don't particularly like the variance on cylinders 2 & 3. There was also a significant amount of oil on the threads of the plugs when I pulled them, and the engine has been running lean (likely due to an improper tune/map on the ECU). Game plan is to sell some of the other parts off the car, my old D16, and invest in a short block rebuild with a budget of about $1000. Going to go semi-built and this thing should be absolutely rock solid at 300WHP+. Will take the car to get tuned NA first, then turbo kit this coming spring.

Both engines will hopefully be pulled this upcoming weekend. Still haven't installed my Beaks X Brace, I'm missing a bracket that I should have with my car.

Goal this thanksgiving weekend is to pull the following from the salvage car:

Dashboard (will be swapped with mine)
B16 engine & trans (will be rebuilt, then swapped)
Coilovers (will be replaced with stock suspension parts I have, then sold for cash)

And on my car, I'm going to FINALLY clean it out a bit and install the X Brace. May get the fog lights in too, or some other odds and ends. I'll also more than likely start pulling the D16 out. Will powerwash and do a light detail on the engine bay to get it nice and clean.

Additionally, I'll more than likely go ahead and pull the head off the B16. Plans are to upgrade to CXRacing rods/bolts, 81.25mm Nippon P30 Pistons, ACL bearings, eBay block girdle (align honed and checked for clearances), and ARP bolts. Should be rock solid reliable for up to about 350WHP with a good tune. I'll also be lapping the valves and doing new seals, just because I might as well when they're available.

Parts car isn't an Si, I haven't checked what trim it's supposed to be.

Muffler is an OEM RSX muffler, I think the rest of the exhaust is 2.5" straightpipe. It's definitely pretty loud, but the exhaust on my Si is literally falling apart from rust so it'll work as a temporary solution lol.

Are you in the Texas area? Also just a heads up they're not in terrible condition, but there is a small tear on the driver's bolstering you can't really see in the pics.

The rear seats are really cool, I've never owned/seen seats with the plastic divider like that on a hatch before in person.

Tentative, but I'll let you know. Like you said, the shipping would probably be fairly atrocious. I'll send you some better pictures of their condition as well.
