Right on, I know how that goes when you can't work on something for a while. Mine has been on hold for a bit, and I finally started getting my other car back together.

I finally "Finished" the car! It's running and driving with no issues, it looks like a car again! I was able to bring it to IFO in NH to show it off a bit. I wasn't allowed to drag it because my hood wouldn't lock and they would not let me drive without a hood so I put it in a show. However, I'll be going to a test and tune day soon to get some seat time before the season is over.

Here's a list of stuff I've done:
Picked up a oem rug, re-dyed it black and oem armrest, and steering rack I plan to rebuild with a quaife rack and pinion
Picked up a jdm rear indiglow center garnish and sir front and rear seats
Some recaro seat covers
Installed LEDs on everything except the rear tails
Installed AP1 S2K cluster
Re-did my headliner in black sueded and eliminated the seat belt warning light
Installed a speedfactory tucked radiator with an fittings
Installed external push/pull battery cutoff and interior ignition kill switch
Replaced my entire engine and chassis wiring, and then tucked it... again
Pimped the bay with some bolt boys hardware
other stuff I can't remember at the moment, will update with pics and stuff later.

Looking pretty good.

Did you do the wiring for the cluster? How come the hood doesn't latch? Did Speedfactory make the filler neck too?

No I bought a custom harness for the cluster. I didn't cut the side webbing and so it's hitting the vc. But I also feel my motor sits higher due to the billet mounts, I compared it to my friend, who is using steel mounts and it sits a lot lower. Yes speedfactory did both.

No big updates but some random photos.

Since the car isn't parked near/where I live it's hard to put in work, especially when you have full time work, inconvenient weather, and non-climate control space to do your work. But some plans I have is:
  • install my aerocatch hood pins
  • cut some under hood webbing
  • space hood some more, because the qsd spacers are not enough
  • maybe install my rebuild quaife quick ratio rack.
  • install jsracing wing
  • install vision mirrors
  • align the windshield wipers
  • fix/replace horns
  • fix or replace my s2000 cluster harness....I can't get the speed to read on my cluster
  • maybe install armrest

Update!

I did some wire management tucked/ziptied/bolted up wires/components under the dash so that everything is secure and away from potential passengers feet. I created 3D printed brackets so that I can bolt on the S2K cluster to the dash and I also added LEDs and changed the color template of the cluster.

Here's a pic of my bracket design process, final version not shown. however I will be selling these if people are interested.

Here's the S2K cluster with LEDs and color change

Some interior shots. BTW I'm selling the SR3 Tomcat seats with EF seat brackets and covers. Local sale/pick up prefered DM for info.

I rebuilt a spare dx steering rack, using all new oem parts and Quaife quick turning rack and pinion

Picked up 2 complete Honda bibles lol

Started working on my own quick release hood hinges

I'm not on hondatech like that anymore so feel free to follow me on instagram for faster updates: h2befjon.

Quick updates

in 2018
had my car retuned by jmarsh made 221hp 194tq on a dynojet.

installed front and rear 4 piston wilwood BBK

made a custom instake for my 3d printed headlight from momo evol

installed fastline shifter, got tired of the ktuned shifter getting loose on me

took it to IFO in Epping NH, tracked it on stock street tires and axels, best time was 16s... Couldn't launch right, had no traction, broke an axle (I need better tires, axle and driver skills)

in 2019
took it to HDay in Epping NH, didn't get to race it still have some kinks to work out but I put it on the car show and took 1st place in my class and top 100 honda.

Thanks, no aero, eventually.

My priority list is the following:

Slicks and wheels
Race Axles
New traction bar
Work out some remaining electrical problems
Practice, practice, practice driving the car
Race it
Show it off

Not a priority list, unless I come up on them at a good price. wish list:

Some old school recaros
Wide front fenders
Jdm ef9 front
Carbon rear hatch
Stand alone pdm system
Send my spare head to get built
Cams
Tranny rebuild
Turbo?

Which Traction bar you upgrading too?

I have a the Innovative Competition bar for mine, however they recently came out with a pro level.

Hasport keeps talking about a traction bar, haven't seen anything yet though.

It's been a while since I've updated this build thread, so here we go. I haven't really done much with it since the ast update because of time and lost of motivation however, here's some recent stuff I have done to it. sorry for the photo dump.

Replaced the ktuned traction bar for the innovative pro, muchhhhhhh better quality.

Had hasport make me a custom battery box relocator for my antigravity battery.

I was having a lot of electrical issues, turns out bad grounds and alternator can do that. So I upgraded all my grounds with some thick house THNN wire and got a new autozone d-series alternator. However, because this car is so old and the wiring is a bit sketchy, I have decided I'm going to replace everything with a rywire PDM system.

Decided to redo my 3d printed control panel out of acrylic. I added the great wave design to it and redid the civic logo by addidng a EL backlight to it. I tried to match it as close as I could to the OEM optional EL colo. I could have done a better job but the EL panels I have are of different colors and it would show through the cear acrylic when turned off. Let me know what you think.

I will be doing my entire exhaust system over, I may be removing my cutout or seeing if I can get a valved muffler. it will be fully custom, 2.5" maybe titanium?! I've already gone over the deep end with this build and might as well fully send it.

My 3D printed headlight was falling apart on me so I'm finally getting around to installing my EDM auto adjustment headlights, will post pic when I get it done.

Still looking for a JDM front end, some pleaseeeee hook it up!
