Icon7 2002 vtech wont start

Good Day!
My 2002 Accord Vtech intermittently will not start! I changed plugs wires and the starter. It will turn over but will not fire. If you wait 5-7 minutes it will fire up. Besides this it runs great for having 232K miles.
Is there a sensor for the clutch pedal that could cause this or where else should I be looking?

Thanks
Gary

Do not pay attention to those clowns! They are trying to be smart.

I guess you wasted money on your new starter. For the engine to start you need three things: air - sparks - fuel.

Start here.

Good luck,
Sam

Yes. Sadly Geffert10 is the butt of of an ongoing joke that has been around for almost 20 years, mainly because of lackadaisical use of auto-correct, lack of Honda-specific car knowledge, or true belief that these two concepts are one and the same. God forbid if anyone is ever slightly admonished to avoid making such a simple, yet significant mistake regarding our craft and enthusiasm for all things Honda on a Honda-Specific forum. My goodness, how will the world survive..

Having said that, somick is absolutely correct. You need to do more diagnostically in order to determine this issue. More likely than not, this issue is simply a symptom to something larger going on.

When you say it won't fire that means there is no spark. Have you actually confirmed there is no spark or are you simply misspeaking ?

If so, then you need to immediately check for spark using a spark tester when it's not starting and check for fuel. That helps narrow down where the issue is.

Also, you said you replaced the starter but the starter only turns the engine it doesn't make the engine fire or inject fuel.
