Innovative motor mounts with the D series cable to hydraulic clutch conversion kit, swapshop racing obd0- obd1 engine harness, z6 is in didn't do an mpfi swap in the car since the entire swap going in was an obd1 swap. Now that the engine is in and grounded and plugged up, ecu jumper harness is in the p28 and the 4 wires from the swap shop harness are connected to the ecu. Car wouldn't start won't crank. What's wrong and the harness has 4 other wires that are for vtec, but all sensors are plugged in and the pins they gave me for those wires don't match up to the ecu? Any help would be appreciated
How is your spark, fuel and compression?
Timing marks on crank and cam lined up right?
Fuel pump engages when keys turned engine is on time and everything is lined up, distributor came off and put back on you think that could be an issue? Also when I turn the key either the fuel pump and all lights work and come on, or the main relay will click also. Checked all my grounds and they all seem to be fine.
my guess is you may have done something wrong with the auto trans lockout system that prevents an auto car from being started in gear.
Very similar to how most manual cars have a switch on the clutch pedal requiring them to disengage the clutch before starting to prevent starting in gear.
That's a good guess, check if the starter signal wire is getting voltage at the starter when you turn the key to start. If not, check the diagram below. Once you locate the neutral safety wires you should be able to tie them together and bypass that switch.
2x0 means down at the auto shifter wiring
theres going to be two big black wires that need to be connected to eachother so the starter can have signal
in auto form these two wires are only making contact when the cars in park or N
but since you 5 speed now you dog ^_^
you just have to connect the two big black wires together and thats it for your starter signal
after that it should crank
No I have the two black wires connected already that's the problem and the starter is good too. Wondering if it's the ecu to engine harness everything's supposed to be plug and play I'm not sure where to wire the 4 vtec wires on the left? I figured the p28 is wired to it and its plug and play that I wouldn't need to wire them. All the vtec sensors are plugged in
