So just got the car back, needed new struts so that cost a good chunk extra, went with some new KYBs...anyways now that the cars back home, took a look under it to see that one of the front sway bar end link is busted off, 2 of the 4 "tabs broke off". wondering if this was the result of the shop? Or more likely the lift kit and new struts put stress on those pathetic looking old end links? time for after market end links?
Thanks in advance guys

Also, how long did it take to arrive from Russia? Does it really take the full 1.5 to 2 months like eBay says? (I'm moving at the end of September).
my spacers took nearly 5 weeks ... as for camber kits it's gonna be close ...just be prepared to buy them is you want a "perfect" alignment.
i drive 100 miles a day for work so I didn't want to be eating up tires .

Rough on the strut costs. Look into a rebate currently going on though KYB though. Seriously doubt the shop wouldn't notice the endlinks being broken. They are cheap however, go with Moog IMO and they are easy to replace DIY. Get some new bar bushings too while down there. Don't think 30mm would do it as people have been running larger spacers for years....like you said maybe this one, but not going to keep happening. -- I ended up ordering the ARB OME .75" rear springs as I load it down going camping and on trips, read they have 800 more pounds of capacity somewhere, anyone else know anything? Excited to get it all on, how do the KYBs and ride with lift compare so far? Pics of the new lift!!!! Thx

Does anyone here have this writeup? The link is now bad and can't find the writeup anywhere. I'm looking to lift my CRV in the rear to fix the sag and would like to go this route which I feel is more stable than spacers.

Anyone on here currently have bigger than 225 70 16 tires on the gen 2? Thinking about 235 75 16, just worried about loss of power and mileage...

The user LDForget has a 2nd gen with 245 70 16 on some 16x8 wheels -7 offset And a 1.5" rear lift. The tires rub at full lock. You could try and message them for power and mileage concerns.

Ive seen a YouTube video of a 2nd gen CRV with 33s... looked like a pain in the *** to drive lmao

Im also considering 225/75/16 for my CRV, but like you I'm concerned about mileage and power. I Keep debating between 225/75/15 or 235/75/15 or getting a 225/75/16. So many options... it's tough.

I am finding a lot more tire options locally for the 235 70 16 and the 235 75 16...so i may just try them out see how it goes.

Here is a comparision between OEM tire size and 235/75 and the speedometer difference

And between OEM tire size and 235/70 and the speedometer difference

Personally i will go for 225/70 or 235/70...
Just need to keep an eye on the speedometer as it will not show the correct speed when you change tire dimension

HERE she is so far! Some spot leds, camber kits, tema4x4 30mm kit and Bora 1.5" wheel spacers. Still need to get some aggressive tires, going with 235 70 16 either Hankook Dynapro ATM or Kuhmo road venture AT51, both are a good bargain and both have mail in rebates for 60-70 dollars right now... Looks like the alignment guy messed the camber up on the front with too much positive and the rear with too much negative...?
Probably put tint on all windows except the front, add roof bars, more leds on front/rear, some yellow fog lights...
Need power upgrades thou, would like to gain another 10- 20 without boost

looks good man ! Yeah you can tell the alignment is off in the pics . Better take it back and get it corrected or you will be eating up the tires

good info ...keep in mind you are going to feel a pretty good power loss and loss in mileage with that big of a tire . I am only on 225/70-15 and I even notice a loss in power and mileage is nearly down 3 miles per gallon . I am planing a K&N intake and a free flowing exhaust to try and get some power and mileage back .. I personally think it was worth its to look cool and add some off road capabilty😂

Fortunately for me, as I am planning on buying the diesel version with the N22A2 engine in the facelift CR-V, I have found a company that comes highly recommended when flashing the ECU.
Not very expensive either :D

For those saying you notice fuel consumption difference, do you judge this by the odometer? Have you done the calculation with tire size difference factored into the distance traveled? If the tire size % is different you have to multiply or divide your odometer by that same percentage to get a true value. Just like your speedo being off the odometer will also not be true compared to stock tires.

I tested this with the wife. We both reset our trip and drove 100km according to her odometer as she has OEM tire size on her van. My KM were different than her by the same value the speedo was of at 100km/hr

With my current size tire on my Element at 100km/hr I'm actually only traveling 92km/hr. My RPM at a true 100km/hr are close to 4k :*(

Berz out.

Looks like a great ride height, still debating doing the tema4x4 strut spacers vs Dobinson Springs. How does the ride differ IYO, You said you got KYBs before? You figure out the sway bar issue? Wheel spacers look good too. Yeah, they need to fix your alignment ASAP again.

Roof basket and LED lightbar prob didn't help either. Most people experience 2-3mpg loss with any type of aftermarket rack from when I installed Thule/Yakima racks for years.

I think it's a combination of things causeing the mileage reduction . The tire height change , heavier then stock wheels , light bar and basket .I used to get 300-310 miles out of a tankful in my 100 mile per day commute . My mileage is down to 240-250 miles per tank . I know part of it is the speedometer change due to tire height but I know it more then just that . It pretty much went from 22 mile per gallon to around 18 or so . I think only a 1 to 1.5 mile per gallon loss is from the tire height change and speedo inaccuracy

I figured it had something to do with it ... ordered the wind deflector for the basket ... hopefully it will marginally help

Freaking turbo diesel CRVs if only we had those here, I'd be able to roll coal on my buddy's Cummins!
