Been reading through this whole thread from first page..
I´m currently looking into purchase a 2005-2006 2ndGen 6speed manual Diesel CR-V.
Already planning in terms of lightning and lifting it but I would like to shoot some thoughts/questions with you regarding my thoughts.
I'm jealous of you Europeans and those diesel CRVs! Wish they were available in the US. I did a quick google for the coil springs you mentioned, and I found them on eBay.au, however the item description indicated that they're for 07-12 CRVs which is the third gens. Maybe you got
the wrong product number? There's always the Dobinson lift springs, they are made in Australia although there will be some lengthy wait times to get them.
You've probably already read this, but the lift spacers will usually be easier to install, and they are much cheaper. And from what I've seen will lift the same amount.

Thx for the reply, actually the correct number is Lovell HRR-133 for the back but it seems like the other number is used for the front of the Gen2, at least that is what they do in Poland
I will probably go for the spacers from Russia, there is a difference in price naturally but if I change the springs they will be new and not "sagging" which together with new shocks would give a more road safe combination.
Now I am curious if you can fit 15" on the Gen2 facelift, as they came with 16" OEM and I´m curious if it is to clear the brake discs.
Hello everyone, new to this forum and my first post here. I have a clean 2005 crv coming my way, been sitting in the driveway for 5+ years unused for the most part. I have read through a large portion of this thread and have few questions...
So far i plan on using...
1.tema4x4 spacers from Russia 30mm leveling kit, curious as to why they offer a 40mm rear but no front?
2. rear camber kit from ebay
3. Camber bolts for the front. Are these really needed? seems like some people don't use them? Or are aftermarket adjustable arms better?
4. EBAY 10mm or 15mm hub centric wheel spacers for the front and back. I would like a slightly wider wheel base and tire. any suggestions/criticism on the use of spacers?
5. set of all terrain tires
thanks, krafty

I think the do offer them but you have to contact directly ....
2. rear camber kit from ebayBe careful with cheap ebay caber kits . I got a set for my integra and the quality was crap
3. Camber bolts for the front. Are these really needed? seems like some people don't use them? Or are aftermarket adjustable arms better There are no arms as far as I know . As for need for camber bolts yes I think you will need them . With out them I was 1.1 degree positive on the passenger side and .8 positive on the drivers . The bolts got me back the spec .

I tried the 10 millimeter with the stock wheels but the wheel studs where to short to get the wheel back on safely . . Also contiplated use of 1.25 wheels spacer adapters . But at 75.00 each for double hub centric ones I opted to buy wheels . I see a lot of people go 15x7 or 15x8 with 0 offset but I chose 15x8 +25 . There far enough away from the inside but don't stick out to far past the fender !
5 ...all terrain tires
....I choose 225/70-15 coopers ...I really like them
thanks, krafty
Thanks for the quick reply d-cheese.I think your right buying wheels with offset is the right choice ,plus they will look way better!
Any particular brand of rear camber kit anyone recommend?

Alignment:
SPC 81280 - Front camber bolt
SPC 67430 - Rear adjustable upper control arm
Wheels:
Katana K122 - 15x8, +20 offset
Tires:
Cooper Discoverer A/T3 225/70-15
---------------------------------------------
Earlier you had said "turning into a bigger project then I thought". Anything you'd order different? Shorter spacers?
Mind stating the cost all said & done?
Thanks.

Wanted to check something with you guys regarding the taillights, as there is a difference between the European market and the US market.
Below you find the bulb/light layout of the tail lights on the Gen2 facelift version.
Since I like symmetry, I will most likely add a rear fog light on the right side but that means some cutting in the plastic and to solder in another bulb bayonette.
Is it the same on the US market?
And also, do you have any bulbs in the "dead" area between the reverse light and the brake light?
@d-cheeze
@Caoboy
What size brake discs do you have on your cars?
Just wondering, do you guys rotate with or without the spare ? If with the spare what's the rotation you guys use ?
I have rtawd and seen a pic of a 4wheel drive rotation with full size spare that goes ...
spare to right rear
right rear to right front
right front to left rear
left rear left front
left front to spare

Usually the driven wheels go straight forward or back depending on fwd or rwd and AWD cars go corner to corner. Our unique drivetrain is 'mostly' front wheel drive so that front tires should go straight to the back wheels and the rear tires get crossed to the front. You can include the spare anywhere you like as long as it's the same every time. There are pictures that explain it better but apparently idk how to use my phone to share them here.
'wilderness' or 'dry' camping (no facilities, you poop in a hole you dig)
The rigs I caravaned with Into the forest! Snow, in July! Soft roading, nothing crazy. Jeep broke down, what a surprise! Drove onto a single track trail until it dead ended, found a decent spot to camp We camped next to this water shed lake. Stopped at this vista point on the way back.
Not bad for a quick overnight trip.

Was debating on procomp steel rims then i just decided to spray paint my stock steels instead.
Went to Oreilly and got Duplicolor wheel paint in Graphite.
