Default In-line transmission filter

2005 CR-V EX AWD Automatic Transmission. Can anyone tell me the direction of flow for the in-line transmission filter and cooler (built into the radiator). The crimped metal joint in the filter is offset. Does the fluid flow into the end closer to this band or the end farther from the band?

put another way, does the fluid flow from the the transmission through the filter into the transmission cooler, or does it flow out of the cooler, through the filter and then back to the transmisison?

The filter can only be installed one way, but I want to back flush out the cooler before I put the new filter in.

Thanks! From underneath and towards front-tube on right goes to radiator/trans cooler, tube on left leads to banjo plug on left (pass.) side transmission case.
