It took a bit over a month but I was able to get my Hardrace bushings installed. Took a bunch of turns and I notice the rear end is more stable during a turn and not exhibiting an active rear steer I got with the old, crusty ones. I was able to hit the track 2-days prior and the car handled nicely but now I am looking forward to see how a fully refreshed suspension does.
First thing I need to do is realign the car since things were moved around during the install.
I found a nice sedan I couldn’t pass up <link> and it came with some Tokico DSpec coilovers. My plan is to take those coilovers and transfer them onto this car since this will be the car I take to the track and it already has brand new bushings on it. Aside from this, I still plan to keep it mostly stock and continue to refresh when I can.
Went to Chuckwalla for the first time this weekend. The track is great! They have cottages that have all the amenities you need to be comfortable before hitting the track. Highly recommend a weekend out there for some great track time.
The car is still pretty much stock except for what I've done listed in the previous posts. Only issue I had (been having) is that my coolant overflows/spews out of the overflow bottle causing me to lose coolant and cut my sessions short and having to refill my radiator. So any ideas on that, I'm open to.
