I had a Carfax run on the car and found an interesting fact.
So I dunno if I should be upset or impressed. Basically between May 2016 and the time I bought my car the odo went from 203k miles to 152k. The car runs great and I recently had a valve adjustment. My mech buddy told me everything on the topend looked good, and when he replaced my oil pan several months ago, he did not note any issues.
The car runs great, and for the most part was taken care of with routine maintenance done by the previous owners (minus this gauge cluster swap). I am wondering if it is okay to track/autox this car now... I assume with diligent maintenance the car should be good??? Thoughts??

I mean if your goal was 100% spot on time-capsule authenticity, then you should be upset. But considering that's not the goal....
Who cares? Whether the number is 150k or 200k or 300k, if the car is in good shape the car is in good shape. It was made to be driven, so bleed your brakes, check your tires and track/autox that girl all you want!
Had a couple things come into today. These dumb bushings were on backorder since November!! Glad they're here now. Just need to set up a time at Cornerspeed Tuning to get them put in.

Very beautiful gsr.. kinda miss the none molested look.. well rape when it comes to mine kudos.. im currently in the proccess of brake tuck, harness tuck, etc.. welded all the holes, ground smooth, primered and ready for paint.. but kudo very clean gsr..
Is there a reason why you're not working on the car yourself instead of taking everything to a shop? Can't use the excuse of not having a place to work on it.

I do what I can when I can to save money. I usually do my own brakes, suspension, maintenance (I've done so on my past cars). As I get older (40y/o) I realize time is money, and some jobs by myself take too long that do not justify the money I 'save'. For example, I could definitely swap the suspension in this car, done it in the past when I had an RS, miata, subies, rx7, mr2 etc. Not particularly hard, just time consuming. I have 2 kids and a wife and I like spending time and doing things with them -- Stuff I can't do if I am wrenching on a car one weekend/weeknight. Also, it's just sore lying down on the ground all day. When I was younger I loved working on my cars, now that i'm not, it hurts. So now my new mantra is "I'd rather be driving not working on cars."
One thing I do like to do on my own is alignment. It's repeatable (i'm not trying to solve how to undo a pesky part with limited tools) and not too difficult.

I hear you on that. There's been several weekends where I was stuck wrenching instead of spending time with family. That's time you don't get back. I've been doing most of my work at night now (8pm-whenever), but it's not very healthy.

I'm a 42 yo dad of 2 toddlers... My DB8 has been sitting on jackstands in my garage for the past 2 months. Slow oil leaks were driving me nuts and I thought it would be a day job... Then along comes my 2yo with the chainsaw... How the heck did he get that off the... Time to be a dad again. The car must wait.
It took a bit over a month but I was able to get my Hardrace bushings installed. Took a bunch of turns and I notice the rear end is more stable during a turn and not exhibiting an active rear steer I got with the old, crusty ones. I was able to hit the track 2-days prior and the car handled nicely but now I am looking forward to see how a fully refreshed suspension does.
First thing I need to do is realign the car since things were moved around during the install.
