Put a light bulb at A4 and to a ground, go to drive and hit 5500rpm, if light goes on then vtec is engaging, if not then you can send to me for free that ecu XD

How does if a4 always have voltage if running below 5500rpm? What's wrong with it?

Wrong, A4 only send voltage to selenoid when vtec engages, so if you can put a light to see if ecu are sending voltage

Light bulb? Perhaps a 12v LED would work...

Put light bulb. It will imitate a VTEC coil.
