Want to upgrade my rim size

Default Want to upgrade my rim size

Okay so i bought a 98 civic lx its on 175/65 r14. And the springs where cut what all do i need to do to be able to put 15" rims&Tires on my car would would i have to do a whole new suspension its slammed to the ground now i do not like the scrapping noise!

If its scraping on near stock tire size, you're going to need to replace the springs to keep it from scraping.

Especially if they were cut! Get a set of actual lowering springs or just some OEM springs and you can put 15s on it really easily.

Should i replace the strut as well or just get lowering springs with the strut included ? I doubt the strut has ever been change since they cut the springs looking at something like this

Honestly, you're going to get what you pay for... and that is a VERY cheap coilover setup. Decent ones retail for around $1000+. You'll also need an alignment after the new suspension is installed. So, I guess its going to boil down to what you've got for a budget. If you're trying to save money, look for a used stock setup that someone swapped out on craigslist or in the marketplace here.

$152 for a FULL SET of coilovers is absurdly low and should be considered with extreme skepticism, if at all.
