The S800 was made when the Honda mark was still the wide-H. Getting matching Honda mark stuff is pretty hard. Momo-style horn buttons alone cost \30,000 or more. I was however able to pick-up this wide-H gear **** for next to nothing off Yafuoku. It's smooth, warm in winter, and much easier on big hands.

The Chris Amon wheel is very similar in feel, and though perhaps not as classic in looks as the Prototipo, it was given to me, so that suits me fine!

Ha!
The Remove Before Flight is a kludge with the clothes peg to hold the choke on, as like most, it slips in slowly otherwise...
Night drive!

Thank you Neko for verifying that S500 is the same one in the auction. It appears the owner added backup lights to the rear facia, which wasn't original to the S500. This may have been done for aesthetics or for added safety, either way it's still a very nice car and I hope it finds a good home.

Great picture bramdax, and to think that's what my car used to look like before the transformation to a roadster.

Found some time to answer with a few pictures; while looking for N and Z parts i found an other steer and shift badge, and add some pictures from the S, it's an early (02-67) one in EU, sold new in GB, i changed the airfilter and exhaust system and painted all moving parts gloss black and for a more racylook and put some old racenr on.

Great stuff!
Love those red H.
Looks like your car has a radiator blind? Is that what that handle on the driver side is for?

Re: 1969 S800M Coupe.
Its been a while since I've worked on the S.
Mostly I suppose because I've just been driving... Shopping, race meets, weekends away, picking my wife up from work, late night ice creams on the Wangan. Typical little sports car excuses.
I did however meet two shinkansen drivers a few weeks ago - 1x Hako S20 equipped GT-R and 1x V-spec II Nur GT-R each - and one kindly mentioned my wide wheels were illegal and I might expect the police to ping me. Notably as they've been clamping down on mods, at least on heavily modified cars.
So I grabbed a set of cheap and nasty fender extensions and fitted to eliminate at least one shaken violation...
All wheel and tires now under the body as they should be, so drive...
Chasing Porsche...
Stopping for snacks...
See ya!
