Dash Harness job
1996 Acura integra Coupe/hatch. Ok so I'm replacing my dash harness because I cut my other one five years ago..... messed it up. The part I cut didn't have A connection Where I could just replace that part, I have to do the whole harness. And its been hard to find an entire harness but I found a 1999 one on ebay. It connected to some of the cabin wiring but the part that goes up the pillar into the roof liner doesnt connect so I have to replace. But some of this wiring worrys me. Any tips or anything? And what happens if something is unplugged? Just doesnt work? Or makes the whole car just stay off? I also tried to use my 1996 fuse box so the plugs coming from the driver side might fit but too much of the 99 harness didn't fit.

I've never done anything with the dash harness, but what I would recommend (maybe a better option if you hadn't already purchased one) would be to go to craigslist or a salvage yard and source one from another car that's being parted out. You'd be surprised at how many quality parts you can get for relatively nothing.

Well for one, 1996 is ob2a. But yes, 1996 and 1999 are both ob2a (contrary to what some think, who say 1999 is ob2b). Though I don't know if that even matters, as long as it's a from a LHD Integra should be fine.
