Very nice build, you're lucky to be working for Honda, I need a lot of OEM stuff so you're living my dream job. Good luck!
Coming from the project i had before, a 1996 Civic Hatch running a B20Z, i fell in love with torque!! when i sold the hatch and bought the EM1, the B16 wasn't doing it for me, it's a slower engine, more than one would think. I already had the head and block from two different B18C engines, of which i was only into for $400.....i don't think anyone would give up the chance to install the best of what Honda offered as a type R power plant back in the day.

I did work for both Honda and Acura for a long time. I am, and always will be a big Honda fan, though these days, i now work for Mercedes Benz. I still get my Honda parts for staff cost though

Well I just finished reading from Pg 7 to finish and I have to say WOW, fantastic progress. Just wish it was finished, I always run into the same issues as you working on too many things at one time and not finishing up one before the other. Non the less, sick stuff so far can't wait to see the final product.

I gotta say, you are doing some great work. I was into hondas(also working at Acura) back in the early 2000's. By around 2007 I sold both my EG hatch(ls/vtec) and my '04 s2k, and after that I was done with Hondas. It wasn't until recently that I started looking for another civic to work on and this is inspiring.

Glad to see these cars getting their due respect. I got a line on a silver 96 coupe with a b16 and si interior, hoping to follow your steps lol.

Oh wow, my em1 thread got bumped, lol Well, still have the car, it's been parked a couple years now, safe and sound.

Updates, not a lot to speak of, as i bought a new house this last summer, where all of my priorities have been. That fancy B18C i bought, i decided to use for my 89 crx Si resto instead, as i've owned that car since 1995, and almost finished making it new.

The good news is that last week, i picked up a 1998 Integra GSR for $850, lol I plan to use it for the nest 4 months, then part it. That B18C1 will find it's way into the em1 come spring, running a genuine jdm itr 4-1 header, 2 1/2 cat and full exhuast

Long awaited update-

I haven't really used this car in years, but a pkg deal on engine parts, ecu's exhausts ect a couple months back for 4K. A couple of the engines were JDM B18C-R swaps....so this year I'm motivated to make it happen. This is swap weekend, I iwill update with pic's starting Saturday

^^ Thanks man! I wasn't really gone, just been busy with other projects. My Crx resto is almost done, and somehow I landed a 2000 Integra rust free from Florida for next to nothing.

Anyway, just updating the civic, and actually going to use it this summer

When performing this swap, I wanted to retain my cruise control. This required using a usdm intake manifold plus the original fuel rail from the B16 from the civic

Nothing to big to report over the winter. As soon as spring in Canada is closer, I'll finish the details of the swap. Should be a good summer as I plan to actually daily drive it this summer.

picked some new Konis and plan to use them with a good set of ST coils for good ride quality

I was lucky to find this genuine Greddy fron strur bar, still new in package to replace the type R one, should look pretty good!
