My car won't start after it rains.
Main relay location and how to remove
vid not best quality but its the same for your car.
Go to Walmart and buy yourself a tool kit, ratchet and sockets.
adjustable wrench will work but makes thing harder due to space.
4 "claws" on the ecu, 2 will hook into the studs where the nut will secures it to the chassis. Doesn't matter bout the claws, once you see the old ecu, just remember its orientation. Do the same with the new ecu. Simple.
You won't learn until you try. We all know its easier to pay someone to do it for you. But you will not learn anything about your car that way. These are simple things you can do yourself and save money. Unless you have money to burn, then by all mean.

Ecu removal and location.
Skip to 2:45 where he start to show u the location. Look at the carpet and how its folded in, exposing the ecu location and mounting nuts and bolts.. Un-do the nuts and bolts, wiggle ecu out. Unplug harness, plug in new ecu. Bolts everything back up. Done.
Disregard whatever else he is doing. U are just there to find and remove the ecu. NOTHING else.
Don't know anything else I can help u with beside doing it myself. If u still unable to do all these after watching the videos.
You need to take a step back and pay your overcharge mechanic, so he can do it for you.
Give it a try. You will be surprise how easy it is.

Good post. OP listen, with a basic ratchet set and some sand paper you will be able to do EVERYTHING we are telling you, 25 bucks and the tools will last years for future projects you may take on, its the best investment you could possibly make.
Before you go swapping your ECU I want you to try sanding down your ground wire connections to ensure you have good grounding, that will rule out inconsistent grounding as a potential culprit. It will take you 5 minutes to do this and if it doesn't change anything at least you've got your grounding system all cleaned up. Remember, Diagnosing 101, only change one variable at a time.
Follow my instruction to clean the ground wires. You need your ratchet and 10mm socket, and a piece of sandpaper. Go to each of the wires I am pointing to below in these pictures and unbolt each end, sand the ends of the wire, and sand the part on the car where they bolt to, then reattach firmly (but don't break the bolts cranking down super hard!).
