With both ends tight... bend the hard line slightly toward each other and there will not be that stretched look that concerns you. There will be no flow related issues as long as you don't kink it from bending way too much.

I had not thought of that - thank you!
If no one has any comment about how long the 2 different hoses are (Integra vs. Civic), then I will do this.
I had a similar problem
y7 97dx
jdm high comp b20
used og y7 fuel line
was just short by 1-3 inches
also had to bend the alignment pieces out
What I did cuz I didn't wanna bend the actual fuel lines
the fuel filter is held by 3 10mm Iirc
i took out 2 of them
bent the fuel filter mount out further a bit
held the filter mount with one 10mm
works fine for me

Hopefully you can imagine what I was describing ^
I can! You re-oriented the fuel filter to get a better reach out of the line, eh?

One last question - did you get a chance to compare the B20 fuel line to the Y7 line to see which one was longer?
You cannot use a Y7 fuel line with a stock "B" series fuel rail if the rail has a fuel pulse dampener on the inlet side. The appropriate fuel line choices are from a '92-95 Civic EX/Si OR a '94-01 Integra (any engine).
If you want a longer line, purchase a Russell Integra fuel line... it is longer than a stock line and looks nice too. Part number is 641120.
Best bet is always to start with the line from the chassis the engine came from. There are very few circumstances where that won't get you the right one.
