I'm bouncing around the idea of making a replacement housing for the electronic controls, to fit in the 96-98 dash opening, and can certainly work on making two. This way we can swap out the 99-00 bezel with the proper EDM with the control for the center vent.
You can always just put in the center vent from the 99-00 RHD and the dash bezel, but then it doesn't look quite right against the dash.
This is also assuming you plan on doing all the OEM dash and plastics swap. If you plan on using a dye like Joel did on your OEM parts, then completely ignore my rambling.
I would keep my climate control the way it is and just swap interior (seats, door panels) and dye the other plastic parts black including the dash, unless I find a complete set of black plastic interior.
how's your interior by the way? Last pic I saw from you was when all your black plastic parts arrived.

Pics from last nights batch, I threw them back in the tumbler and they feel really smooth. Original bolt is in the center of the pics to show a comparison.

I love it. It's ALL in except the rear center console portion. The one I received has the rear clips snapped off, so the seller is trying to find me a new one, unless I find an EK9 delete first. Then I'm buying another set of hatch back seats (cheapest and most readily available) and I'm going to use that material to recover my Accord Euro-R Recaro. New black floor mats are getting ordered, and then modified to fit my kick panels, and then I should be good for a while on the interior, I think. Eventually I'll recover the door panels, just because they're a bit scraped up, but for now, it just looks like the interior of a 16 year old car with 200k miles on it, so I'm not gonna complain or get upset.
I'm fairly certain I've been keeping a somewhat decent log on IG about the swap and all the nonsense. @cobb2819

OH my. I can't wait to see them all in your car. Since the rear VI-RS seats do not fold, did you have to modify the backing of the rear seats to fit on our Civic?
Also, I read somewhere that there are 2 versions of the VI-RS sedan seats, any info on what the difference are? TIA
Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 3
Great pics everyone.
What suspension are you guys running? I sold my Koni/GC combo because I thought I was never going to find another sedan again. I'm thinking of going Buddy Club, I wont be racing or anything, more for daily use.

AMR is doing a big sale for the rest of the year. I'd jump on a set in a second if I was in the market, you really can't beat the price for a customized set.

I had to add a hole for the center anchor to drop into in my package tray, and remove the strikers for the folding rear seat, along with trim the lip off the rear tray to make everything play nice. The lower side anchors line right up, but there are some additional ones in the middle that just don't go anywhere. Like...there really is nothing there for them to attach to. The seat bottom fits in place perfectly without issue.
Maybe the 2 versions were folding and non folding. Or I thought I remember there being an arm rest and no rest. I know that my euro parts guy can only get the sedan folding seats in this material, while the non folding was only available in Japan in this material. I cannot remember ****, I'm old. I was lucky just to find this one. I specifically wanted non-folding, but the Vi-RS was actually not the seat that I wanted because I didn't wanna swap the interior. Then...like everything I do, I said screw it and went full on dumbass and swapped EVERYTHING!!!

Koni/GC, haha. Had some D2 SL and the car was just too low and too rough at all times. Always wanted to go Koni/GC and got a good deal on a set of used springs and collars w/ extended top hat, so I ordered new shocks and there you have it.

So...Tony got me thinking about a tumbler; however, I'm thinking we'd have better use for a bigger one. The link Tony posted is for a tumbler that holds about 4lbs of media. I was thinking about something larger so that we might be able to do bigger brackets and what not. There is an HF option that after coupons might be worth it. It holds about 18lbs of media, with a larger opening. It is also wet/dry, as i'm sure Tony's is, but the larger capacity might make it a little more versatile. Would any of you SoCal guys find a need so that we could pass it around. Not looking to split costs, because i'm buying it for me, but...I'd be down for loaning it out.
As for plating, i'm not sure about getting into that. I mean...if someone handed me a list of the things i'd need to order, and from where, i'm sure i'd pull the trigger, but my brain hurts at this point, and all i've been thinking about is de-griming the parts for my high compression 3.6 stroker (yeah...plans changed, again).

I read the reviews on AMR and I didn't see much positive feedbacks. Coilovers looks good though.

Their products have always had extremely positive reviews but the company seems to have had some issues in the past with getting stuff out the door. I don't know what the current state of affairs is with them, I'd be willing to roll the dice on them if there was a little more evidence they've ironed out their customer service issues.
