What’s the weight of the tube Chassis?

 

With me and a tank of fuel this car is around 2000lbs
As per SCCA ,GTL rules it must weigh in at end of race , no less than 1926lbs
It does have about 15 lb ballast

 

I love that with all that, it appears to still be rocking a Koni / GC combo and skunk2 UCA's.

Nothing wrong with that, just makes me feel better about my pending Koni / GC combo!

Just need to "get to know" a few members. I have some loose connections already. Sounds like they are going to host events as well, keeping my fingers crossed they will support grassroots motorsports and some time attack events.

 

I hope SCCBC can somehow get a race up there , I would haul up, for sure.

i'm in the process of designing tooling of 14x7 and 14x8 flow formed wheels...

14X7/14x8 might not be a good Idea
not to many size 14 tires that's why people either run 13's or jump to 15's

if your running racing slicks a lot of people run 20x9.5x13 (gets the CG lower)
so a few things to think about
a big part of the race class GTL (used to be GT4) is you trying to build a better mouse trap so to speak

That's correct , not too many 14" race tires . GTL wheels specs are 13" x 7 "
mine are panasport.

 

I would guess I spent around $15000 Canadian to build but I had a friend who owned the molds, and I already had a bunch of bits and pieces from my old racecar which was retired.
