The front is ok but you will hit the back quite a lot without a lift. The rear tires will bump the body easily. I found that out the hard way.

Thanks for the heads up Berz. I'll probably do a set of spacer and see how that feels. Any suggestion on stiffening the chassis to reduce roll? Or just take it easy on the corners?
There have been some pics posted in the past. They just bolt between the top hat and the body. Pretty straight forward if you have proper ones. If you've made your own there will be complications.

Ya ive been through this entire thread, a lot of pictures are no longer available to view, I know its pretty straight forward. Just looking for pictures of the spacers installed, I've seen a lot of pictures of the the after lift pictures but never see the process of them being installed. I installed my rear 2.5 inch ones without issues.
Does anyone have pictures of the front lift 1.5" spacers installed? whats the best way to install 1.5 inch front spacers?
ya they are easyish to install I took my shock out and installed it then put the assembly back together just watchout for what style rims you buy I bought a heavy offset rim but the back spacing was not correct so I needed an extra 3/8 wheel spacer on the front to miss the brake caliper and with the I needed new studs and they suck to change but now I'm 76 inches wide lol
Here is my new $800 project. Have coilover lift, Bilsteins, 15x8 wheels and 235/75 tires on it so far. Getting a bull bar, roof rack and basket next week.
Oh ya have a new door too, just haven't got around to putting it in yet.
Also have a complete CTR head that's going on with some 11.8 pistons, bearings, all ARP bolts, etc.

Love it so far.
Looks GREAT! Where did you get the wheels? I'm looking for some identical to those.
Spacers are expensive? Compared to??? Spacers are the easiest most cost effective way.

I'm saying $400 for some 2 inch metal spacers is expensive because you can get lift coilovers for about $800. There are some knockoff spacers dirt cheap nut I don't want a dirt cheap plastic product. Honestly if I could find a spec sheet on how to build these with the dimensions I would print it off and have em made here at work.

Basically you just need a metal sleeve sandwiched between to plates with the holes drilled on the top and bottom plates to allow for the studs on top of the shock, and the new studs that bolt to the body. This is the easier way. The other way is just to get a solid piece with long holes drilled through it. Then you have to get longer studs and replace the ones on the top to allow you to bolt it up to the body.

Thanks for the info. I did just find a guy selling the 2 inch spacers for $200 on another site and I paid him just a little b it ago. $150 shipped to me for the spacers!!! Ordering my tires in the morning as well. Going with 235/75/15 Toyo Open Country A/T's on the stock wheel until I can get me some aftermarket wheels. I know I'll rub a little but I'm not too worried.
Checking in from Oahu, Hawaii. Got this 1997 Supermarine Rtawd for 1300bucks early september. added tint, window visors, bug deflector, a rear .5in spacer to get rid of the rear sag (rear went up 3/4in and front went up 1/4in for some reason, I love it!) and took out the stock 205/70 replaced with 225/70 toyo extenzas. Maybe next year I'll upgrade to 215/75 all terrains and some pro comp steel wheels. never took it offroading yet, but I plan to !
speaking of not going offroading yet, went on a minor trail earlier for the first time , got her a little dirty !
Is there a minimum amount of threads needed for the lug nut to securely tighten the wheel with spacer? My rims require some spacer and I'm worry there may not be enough threads left to secure the wheel.
Ordered my lift from a guy who makes them locally, going 1.5" in the front and 2 1/4 in the rear. also have some tie rods coming in, will post pictures once work is done!

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I would say a safe bet would be over half of the original amount of thread should be left. you'd risk snapping the stud eventually
Having an issue guys. How do I install the rear 2" spacer on an 03 CRV? I got the fronts super easy. The rear tho has NO suspension give at all to install. I can take the strut assembly out but with the spacer installed on top I cant get the control arm low enough to bold the bottom of the strut back into place. Is there an install guide with pics anywhere? Truck is torn apart at the moment and I really dont wanna take the front spacers back out to make it stock again.
I found that in some competition, they would check if the wheel is securely fasten by taking a lug off and using a regular nut. If the nut goes on the stud completely with about 1-2 threads extra is more than enough. Any thoughts?
Also, would longer stab links be necessary? If so, which one is ideal? Lastly, is there anywhere where they sell stiffer sway bar to help with body roll?
Well as you can see from the top pic that the tires were tiny before. After I installed some 235/75/15 it really made a difference. Like I said in the previous post, I installed my 2" spacers in the front but I couldnt get the back on at all. So I'm still looking for info on how to do the rears. If nothing else I'll have to take it to a shop in a few weeks to get it done and an alignment. The front tires camber out on top and you can clearly see it.
