Road Racing / Autocross / Time Attack Picture Post!!!
Yea, 3geez is still a thing but the forum gets a lot less traffic opposed to the Facebook page. I guess it's just a sign of the times because I notice a lot less traffic here compared to 5-6years ago.
I can't remember who our "instructor" was but it was a she, and she seemed extremely knowledgeable and easy to approach with questions. I absolutely loved the event and I want to do it again with my '88 LXi instead of my daily driver '08 Accord. I was pretty tentative the first run and just tried to get a feel for the car. I definitely ramped it up the next couple sessions but the idea of it being my daily driver lurked in the back of my head. But overall, I'd like to get involved with a school to learn more and make this a more regular thing. Is there one you recommend over another?

They call them "coaches." Hmmmm...Might've been Shea Holbrook who, incidentally, races an Accord in Pirelli World Challenge. She was at one of the events I went to and I totally fangirled on her. Tom O'Gorman is another novice coach. He's also a pro racer in PWC driving a Honda Fit. Dude is a RIDICULOUS driver. I'd probably say NASA is the best as far as instruction goes. They walk you from the absolute basics ("What is an apex") to on track drills for late braking and passing in turns. Some organizations will do a few "classroom" sessions, send you out with an "instructor" and if you don't scare them they'll turn you loose on track by yourself. It's just not very helpful. Good luck!

Don't have much in the way of pictures, but here's a video from my last event.
2010 Civic Si in H-Street SCCA Solo2 Autocross, first year campaigning this car. Even in stock trim, it handles excellently for what it is. Currently third place in points, in a very close 3-way battle for the top spot against two former National's champs. Fun stuff.

I don't have any pictures yet from Watkins Glen but I do have a few videos from my GoPro. This was my first time at this track as well as my friend Marc in the white hatch back. Hope you enjoy the videos and if you haven't gone to this track yet you must try too because it was amazing.
One of the cars I tune is sitting 3rd and only .5 sec off the pole at the Runoffs. Not bad for a new motor that was only broken in on the dyno when he left. We are fine tuning the driveability stuff in the 4 qualifying sessions. Wish us luck.
