Hello, I was just wondering if I could tap the power wire from the radio into my cig lighter port?
Would I run into any problems in the future such as losing power to the radio when i plug something into the cig lighter port?


Just bought this car, however the cig lighter isn't wired up.

Why not start by looking for the original power and ground wires?

 

Ditto the above, they should be there, or the 4pin plug will be there and you can use the wiring in the plug, power/ground/illumination and illumination ground, [Dash Light Brightness illumination ground].

If it's not there or you want a 12V constant power, [hot at all times] just use the 12V+ constant power free pin on the under dash fuse box.

If you want to go OEM check out your local bone yard, PicknPull and pull the lighter and harness from just about any Honda/Acura , and plug and play it into your car, 94
