The bulk of the work is done, the engine is back home. Some small details are still left, it still needs the good valve cover installed, exhaust manifold bolted up, battery, and various wiring hook-ups.
A bit of a delay in updating this thread...The entire engine installation went quite smoothly, only a few hiccups. I've been out driving and enjoying the car with zero issues, which is nice.
Somehow I have no current engine photos, I'll get a few up shortly.
Ps. I have the proper Si hubcaps, they need refinishing and then they'll go back on.
The rear wiper worked, albeit very poorly. At it's best it sort of lazily skipped across the glass. I was tired of seeing it in my rearview and seeing as how I don't drive it in the rain, (99% of the time) I decided to delete it.
I used Honda parts from the 92-95 Civic hatchback. I ordered the rubber seal and the metal plug. The seal was intended for the thickness of glass (and not body sheetmetal) so I had to use a thick o-ring to account for the gap.
I used a rubber plug on mine, I think all of the 88-91 rear wipers skip because of the shape of the glass. Either way looks much better.
I saw a bunch of pictures of the rubber plug method but I kept thinking that it's just sitting in there, waiting for some ***-clown to poke it into the hatch. A bit pricey, but I was more than happy to shell out $35ish to seal it up this way.
My rear wiper doesnt skip..
cool stuff man ! Why are your windshield washer jet hoses cut ?
Also, missing the OEM air intake snorkel...
The washer hoses were very very brittle, they didn't survive the hood coming off. I'm on the fence whether to keep the washer reservoir or not. The air snorkel is stored away safe and sound I'm still feeling out whether I like the throaty intake sound.

There's not a whole lot to update right now, I've really just been driving and enjoying the car lately. Even in totally stock form it's a ton of fun to just boot around town. 99.9% percent of people on the road probably see my car as an old piece of junk but I do get the occasional thumbs up.
I recently gave the rockers a good scrub, they were filthy.
I got a centre console extension (the part below the radio) on ebay, so once that arrives I'll be installing it. I think it'll really change the feel of the interior, the gap under the radio just never looked right to me.
My centre console piece finally arrived. It's hard to explain... the opening between the driver/passenger just never felt right and this piece helps correct that. It's a small, relatively unnoticeable change but it adds to the "cockpit" feeling that a good car interior has.
