Went to get an emissions test done & CEL came on while on the roller...

The first go the techs computer froze up & was aborted.

Car idled for awhile with the exhaust clip emission tool & rpm gauge tool.




This & a rpm gauge tool was in use for the emissions test

I opted to get the CEL code pulled but simply turning the car off & back on again cleared it?!

Before I did that I drove the car & it was bogging @ 4500 rpm

Re-did the test & it was good. What would cause this random *** fluke?

 

Figured it out, was low on oil. Yup, leaking motor oil probably from the pan seal. Was low a little about a quart. 10w30 castrol syn blend went in & no longer get cel on extended idle.

I'm an idiot lol took about a month before I realized.

Things to do,

Get a spoon oil pan & OEM gasket.

Change oil & filter

Replace mishi rad cap lol its done looking @ a Spoon type F cap
