Default 99 DX civic hatch - power lock and window conversion

Okay so I have looked and I have only found how to do the power windows on the older years. I've looked for wire diagrams also but nothing unless I'm looking in the wrong place ..

I have a 99 Dx .. So what I ended up doing was switching the complete floor harness and doors from a ex.. Now everything works great I even got tweeters now but my power door locks won't work when I press the button the rear windshield cluster light goes on.. Any one here have ideas and tips I would greatly appreciate it.. Thanks in advance..👍🏼👌🏼

ron, hx only comes in coupe.

What should matter is whether its a cvt or 5spd. If its a 5spd i believe the 99-00 hx models retain obd2a, not obd2b. So theoretically, he should be looking for obd2a wiring.

Neither of the power door locks work? Did you install the lock control unit behind the driver's kick panel?

Did you mean open trunk warning light in cluster?

I only have one button for the door locks on the drivers side. there is a control unit in the door but I don't know of one by the kick panel?

And yes the open trunk light..

The 99-00 Civic EX comes with keyless locks and requires the keyless control unit, not the control unit in the door.

This suggests to me that you have 99-00 Civic LX or HX coupe doors but the 99-00 Civic EX floor harness.

Is fuse 51 installed?

The button operates both door locks. The locks don't work in either door?

Study the differences between with and without keyless, especially for connectors C556 and C557.

Now one last thing I'm still using the same under dash fuse box. Should I have changed to the ex coupe fuse box? Because i shouldn't have the trunk light come on when I hit the unlock button right..? Maybe there set up different because one thing I forgot to mention is when I turn on my rear windshield wiper the same open trunk light comes on.. And ex coupes have no rear wiper so nothing should happen when I try to use the rear wiper

What happens if you use the original stock floor harness?

It dose not have power anything.. Because it's the Dx model I would have to wire everything straight. Everything is working great!! Besides the locks and My rear windshield wiper I can live without.. I just want to figure out the locks.. Do you know if I should switch to a ex under dash fuse box?

Has anyone here done this before ?

I was trying to do this the right way fml!!

I would've swapped everything from the same car and be done with.

Ron has posted some wiring diagrams that you need to take a look at and see what you have and don't have. I suggest you get to it instead of waiting for someone to give you a "direct"answer. **** like this needs to be troubleshooted @ the source. If you're willing to pay for my trip/housing and transportation sure I'd be glad to take care of it.

Study the red arrows and compare the diagrams. Do you understand the implications of mixing and matching wire harnesses?

Did you check whether the original stock hatch floor harness has wires for the power locks? Post pictures.

These diagrams also should help:
