1999 Honda Accord V6 .. I cannot trace leak! Pls help
So for a while I've had a big leak to were it started to get all over the belts ( had to get new belts because they ripped) I assumed it was going to be the crankshaft seal so I installed new timing belt and crank seal . I also noticed the top left by the cam shaft cover there is a leak as well . I did check the the cam seals and no signs of leaks .
So I put it all together , and still it leaks around the bottom area of the crank ... It looks like at high Rpms it leaks out more ( I'm assuming )
I just replaced it for 2nd time thinking maybe I shouldn't have put oil around the inner seal so this time I put it in dry just a slight bit of mechanical grease on the inner part ... And still same leak ... ( I replaced the oil filter gasket as well that attaches to the block .
Questions : Can a lower head gasket leak oil ? The car has never ran hot though and I checked the rear valve cover gasket with a mirror and no signs of leak .
Should I purchase the UV dye to trace the leak? Where else can it be leaking out of ?
