Filtech or Honeywell filter? Is that 0w20 too?

I have a similar valve adjustment tool and really like using it.

Filtech. I don't worry about filters like some others do, if it's from the dealer it's good to go.

I use 0w30, the engine i built to stock clearances so 20 weight is a no-go.

I've had the 10mm tool for almost 20 years and love it. Never got the 12mm since the B18B type heads were rare in my life and easy without it. Decided to treat myself this time around though, especially since I now have an 85k mile B20Z in my life

I don't remember honestly. Maybe B20/21A, other non vtec dohc engines but it's been a really long time since I've seen any of those.

Very nice Adam, what brand tool is that? Like the new power and ground cable, how much did that set you back?

^ That's the one, it's made by Schley Products.

The cables weren't bad at all, I'd have to find the receipt to say how much they set me back though. I've been exploiting my discount whenever possible lately

Good Morning Gents!!!

HAHAHA I think we'd all do the same. Since I'll be joining you as a b18 brother, maybe I should purchase that tool as well. My screwdriver and wrench setup is tiring.

It makes it really quick. Go/no-go method with the feelers. I do cyl 1/2 in, cyl 1/3 exh, turn 180* and do 3/4 in and 4/2 exh and then just run through and hit all 16 rockers with the torque wrench. Takes maybe 15 minutes, 20 including f'ing around with the he gaskets and being ocd about working clean.

slacking on sharing....Got some bits together that will aide with the transfer of parts from DC to EK. As well as ad some handling to the chassis. I was going to paint them black but tired of wasting my own time LOL. First order of business and S|O to the guys at GSP.

Engine Mounts - 3yr warranty ( Return rate is EXTREMELY low, so I figured I'll abuse them on my own setup, I've used them in the future on swaps for others)

LCA's - Decided to try spherical, only available in red and has been track tested, all for it.

Rear Tie - Seems I'm going full GSP rear config, Keeping the megan toe kit fir the DC2. These are also spherical.

Reinforcements - GSP sway bar kit

Spherical is awesome and I did spherical rear trailing arm bushings, but FULL spherical transfers a LOT of vibration. Let me know how it works out for you going full tilt. I've been bouncing around the idea of spherical front compliance bushings since my car has a DC2R front subframe. That way the two biggest pivot points are spherical and the rest are rubber. Trying to get a good mix of comfort and function.

I'll do my best to give an honest review. I'm scared it will be a clacking mess. I however need to experience things for myself. I've driven cars with all new bushings before, this time, I'd like to feel the difference, experience the wear and tear. Pricey experiment but sometimes just listening to forum ***** are not enough for me.

This is amazingly simple and aggressive! Love it.

Picked up some more suspension pcs. I do believe I'm 99% ready for a transfer of parts. I feel I'm missing something, and just my luck it will be a day when shops are closed, in the middle of the swap that I'll remember. Nothing grand to see, just logging, BETA testing some more spherical parts. I can't judge parts I have no first hand experience with, so guess what?! Get that experience.

UCA - BETA

FLCA

Rear Camber Kit - New Release ( they are not sealed because they felt consumers would complain and second guess the product truly being spherical. If anyone has leads on seals/dust boots, please LMK. I'll hit the school of google next chance I get to hunt some down as well. )

Joe- looks nice. Great job. Where are you located? Thailand or somewhere in Southeast Asia.

JDM- interested to here on the parts. Watch the J2's with your ball joints, another guy who tracks his car removed them.

Kermit got hurt today. Pictures this evening, nothing major though.

Edit:

Kermit's injury, just the reason I drive it over other vehicles we have. Not even mad, only bumper scuffed. Saved my other cars basically, which is a win. Almost 255k miles and averaging 28-30 mpg's.

Can he elaborate his issue when you guys get a chance to talk? I've been using them on my DC w/ extended ball joints no issues.

What happened to "kermit"?

The Tundra's bumper scraped the top, still drives fine just pushed in a bit.

Check the comments on here, I don't have an IG but this isn't a private post. Something about the sleeve insert.

I've already combatted and corrected that issue myself. I was driving my DC and I felt the alignment/steering change in heavy hard dips. Could figure it out until I had the car in the air giving it a once over. Is he also using Extended ball Joints? If so that's the issue, not so much the arm. The arm was designed for OE BJ. I haven't seen the issue on stock LBJ's either only extended. Don't ask me how that makes a difference but when I contacted the manf. Thats what I was told.

Easy fix however. Just have yet to track test it.

Either way hope the whole setup works great for you.

Me too sir, I actually remember that guys car. I believe my coworkers repaired some wiring for him. When I get to the install, I'll do a easy write up on how to fix it for EBJ users.

I know the feeling. I've driven a full spherical car (a track car) and it was nice, but also had no interior, was braced to high heaven, and had some wickedly stiff motor mounts, so...no a/b comparison. Please do let me know when you get your car back on the ground how it behaves on the road.

That is a beautiful ride...

I installed the myhondahabit gasket on my civic too... I love it. I don't worry about leaks anymore and even though they say the gasket is not reusable, I find that if I'm careful whenever I have to remove the pan, it is possible to reuse if I can keep it stuck to the bottom of the block and not tear it when removing the pan. I'm really pleased with how solid it has been for me.

Pic from their site below for the uninitiated:

So worth it for me.
