I am replacing my alternator on a 1992 Honda Civic. I bought a refurbished alternator and the guy at the store recommended I check the ground when I install it. I am not sure how to do this. I'm a handy girl but not a mechanic. There was no ground wire or strap on the original alternator that I could see when I took it out. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Thanks for the quick response. Sorry, being not a mechanic, I'm not sure where the G2 and G3 engine ground wires. The only place where I can see where it might ground locally to the chassis is through the lower mounting bracket where the through bolt goes. But I dont see anything that looks like a ground wire. I have attached a pic of the alternator replacement directions out of my Chilton manual. Is there another step outside of these steps that I need to do?
