I've been running the '450' (E85 version lingo) for a year now at my power. Base pressure 50psi on fiveOh 1400's and I feel like they could go a bit more.

Will a 450lph pump with FIC 2150's be enough to support 600-650hp using stock lines and rail? I can't seem to find any conclusive data to suggest the power limitations on stock lines and rails. I have read a few posts from Tony1 and he suggests using a 255 in tank with a 044 inline near the engine bay to get a target of 100psi base pressure. He never mentions fuel line or rail sizing, so I'm still at a dead end. The last thing I want to do is strap the car down and find out the fuel system is lacking.
i've seen a a car make 616whp on e85 pump gas with a 450 pump, id2000's, ge fuel rail, aeromotive regulator, stock fuel filter, stock fuel lines.

What dyno? Any links to this build?

What was base pressure on these cars? That must have been one hell of a 255. I typically only see these kinds of numbers with an added inline pump to help run high pressures on id1000s. What are uncorrected numbers?

Bump for curiosity. Has anyone yet to max this fuel pump out? I recently made 630whp @24psi. Base pressure is set at 43psi. We still had fuel left, we just had some other things holding us back that day so that's how the car sits.

I was @ roughly 80% duty cycle with 1400's @ 50psi base pressure, numbers in sig. Should gain some efficiency and be able to push pump some more once I throw the GSR head on

I run this pump on my s2000 and I have made 620whp on e85 with stock lines and 2000cc injectors. I know of a few s2000's that have made over 700whp on e85 with this pump and the pump was still not maxed out.

I've had one of these as far as 745whp on E88 with 45psi base pressure, FID 2,000cc's, 8AN feed, 6AN return.

100% IDC.

Going to try and bump base pressure up a smidge on this car in the next few weeks and see where the pump won't play nice, pressure-wise.

dynojet. base pressure was set at 45psi, and yes the fuel system was maxed at 616whp, boost was at 26psi. sorry no build thread or links to setup, this was a customer car my tuner built, im just sharing a little information that may possibly help.

question on wiring the 450 high for E85 in a street car. Looking for 600 max, but will probably sit around 480-5 for the most of the time. Tuner said I can get away with using stock guage wiring, is this true? and as for the install kit, it has the positive and ground reversed, and the ground is going back into the neutral from the install kit instead of going to ground like OEM / walbro 255.

question is.. this install kit looks as if I just splice to the original wiring harness.... if this is unable to handle the load, i need to change some things....

I would rewire it with a relay and thicker wiring just to be safe. The stock stuff is thin and old. Wouldnt hurt to just go with bigger wiring and do it right the first time around. I rewired mine when I just went to a Grams 255 just so I knew that the pump would be operating as best as it possibly could. It may be overkill for now but if I ever want to go to a larger pump the hardest part is already done.

Pics and mini guide from mine

My sohc made 560hp at a base fuel of 45psi. 2200cc injectors 17psi. Stock fuel lines and regulator. Plan on seeing how high I can go on stock lines

Question about wiring up the 450lph:
The pump comes with pre-attached wires with the plug, coming out of a white cap on top of the fuel pump. I'm trying to find a way to remove those wires so I can run bigger gauge all the way to the pump positive and negative connectors. Was anyone successful with de-pinning / removing the factory pigtail on the pump? Looks like it comes with 14gauge wire and I'm trying to run 10 gauge all the way to the pump

If the wire at the pump is 14GA what makes you think your doing any good upgrading it going into the terminals if they are only rated for 14ga wire? I just cut the pigtail off spliced into it with the provided butt connectors and never had an issue.

I just replaced my dying Walbro 255LPH on my internally stock 93 octane B18C-R with a Walbro 450LPH... no issues. It didn't raise my base pressure or create tuning issues.

Yes I think it's overkill. Although the pump is much quieter then the 255
