Found out head gasket crapped out

Took replacment head to the shop had a valve job

Installed that fixed the rear main seal

Installed all new heater core and radiator hoses

Fresh oil change and mtf

Smashed up the tps while doing these things threw a code seven

New ones on its way sorta excited to be driving it again

I bought one. Been out of the honda/car game for awhile. Haven't had a crx in 10+ years and decided to get a new project.

Nice pick up!

CRXCommunity is a good site for info IF you need it. I imagine it will be like riding a bike now that you returned to the game.

Nice! That car was so much fun with a B-Series motor in it. I had one red ('90) and two black ('90 and '91).

Do you still have drums in back? Never understood how the CRX received rear disc brakes and they left the hatchback with drums.

It's a lot of fun! when it's not spinning the tires.

No, I have discs out back and Wilwood up front.

Car looks badass!

Which radiator are you going with? Not a fan of the half size skunk2 you got in there?

Thank you!

I'm going with the SpeedFactory tucked radiator. The Skunk would be fine, but I have a large header and just don't like how cramped everything is

Knocked out new plugs and wires today. Discovered the valve cover gasket is shot so I'll pick that up tomorrow from Honda. (it's the spark plug tube grommets)

Started taking it apart last night in preparation of the new parts. Should be able to bang out a decent portion tonight.

Day time picture of the valve cover I painted. Also, replaced the gasket and spark plug tube seals.

Oh cool, that looks like fun!

The CRX is down. Igniter failed on me. Waiting for parts to arrive in the middle to late week next week. I have my fall back distributor on at the moment, but I would not trust it for any serious trip or long distance trip.

This is awesome, it looks great! That header is pretty badass, do you have good ground clearance?
