And when I got home I started to take the car apart to move the sensor for the defi gauge and install my upper spoon rad hose. Only made a little progress so far I need to pick up a coolant drain pan first before I can go further. I'm actually thinking that in 6 years I might put this car for sale state side but I'm not sure yet of what kind of price they would sell for down there especially in 6 years when they become legal.
Well made a little more progress today. Drained the coolant removed the upper hose, and housing. The housing was a bit tricky I had to pry on it from the back side where I'm going to drill and tap it. I'm hoping to have it back together this week but I kinda want to find some nice t-bolt style rad hose clamps.
Hey, some quick advice for you regarding that intake elbow. You may already have this covered. But make sure that you use a soft rubber bushing to fasten it to the chassis. My car came with that elbow when I got it and the previous owner did not do that and the mounting bracket on the elbow had snapped off.
The intake elbow is mounted with a rubber bushing so it will be ok. I got the upper rad housing drilled an tapped. And then I polished the oem rad hosing clamp. I looked for some nice stainless t-bolt style ones but couldn't find any I wanted.
Car is away for the winter no more updates till next year. Looking into maybe picking this Canadian sir American si in the spring for a summer daily. Fingers crossed
I'm sorry no there hasn't been much for updates. I only took the car out of the garage 3 times this year once to wash. Once so I could get another car in there and once up to the gas station and back to let it breath.
sad news I didn't buy the red si above as mentioned for a daily. However I did pick up something a little newer for a daily. Which I might pick some things up for that in the near future.
