There isn't an MFactory dealer near Hickory. There is one in Arden and Concord, and I (MFactory's Official North American Installer) am in Johnson City, TN. http://www.teammfactory.com/north-america

First thing I did was look at the Mfactory gear sets but I really want to keep the stock GSR ratios. They are perfect for the turbo I have and I think increasing the ratio would only make traction even more elusive. Plus I like the RPM I turn in 5th gear at highway speeds. Don't really want to be any higher.
Is there any chance Mfactory would do a stock ratio gear set?
The PRO Synchro gears are very close to OEM B16/ITR 3/4 ratios. If you do boost by gear you can use them with no traction issues if you have good tires.
The gear and hub/slider wear you have is from running Honda MTF. Run Torco RTF instead. I would at a minimum upgrade the FD to an MFactory PRO. Closest to OEM ratios are 4.266 and 4.533. I personally like the 4.05 with either the PRO 3/4 or Road/Race 3/4/5.
I wouldn't do use the metal enhancement Liberty's does. I would have the new gears WPC treated instead (MFactory PRO gears come with the WPC treatment already).
I was a way for a while for work so it has been some time but the car is slowly coming back from the dead. I figured it was time for a little update.
The trans is back together and in the car.
Before installation:
I have replaced all the bushings (PIC kit) and the wheel bearing on the front passenger side. I am in the middle of doing the driver side front then will do all the rear bushings. The hubs are brand new and I also added ARP extended studs. The front swaybar endlinks and swaybar bushings have also been replaced with Hardrace pieces.
Also taking the time to install new AMR coilovers:
AMR will be on my list of coilovers next go 'round.
Very nice, 1158!
Thanks, Mac.
Can't wait to drive it. The suspension will basically be brand new as is the transmission. The engine has about 10k on it now and the brakes are all new. Not much left to replace, car is basically like new.
I forgot to add I upgraded by S300 to V2
Also ordered a knock set up.
Once it is back on the road and I feel out the trans it will be time for a set of GSC cams.

I live in NC too, is your job hiring Mr.Money Bags over here! I am saving up for the AMR's but feeling impatient so may fold for the Koni/Ground Controls instead.

LOL!!
I was out west for several weeks racking up 140 hours of OT per pay period. All I could think about while working 16 hour days was transmission and suspension lol

You ever get down Wilmington way send me a PM.
might be paying National Speed a visit to do my bushing kit and maybe corner balance the car before the NASA season starts next year so maybe late winter i'll be in the area.
On the AMR units, when you adjust compression and rebound does adjusting one affect the other? I know this is the case on most "off-the-shelf" honda coils and am trying to locate units where the compression and rebound circuits are entirely separate from one another

If you have an idea of what you are looking for you can ask Andy. I know he will specially valve and optimize spring rate for each setup. He might be able to work with you on something.
Well I have been hunting a part throttle stumble for almost 2 years but I think I finally figured it out. I'm 99% sure the Fuel Overrun Cutoff was causing the problem.
I have never messed with this parameter in Hondata (in fact I don't remember it being there until more recently). I think this was added in an update a while back.
Now that I have taken care of what I thought was at first an ignition related problem it is time for this.
Then I need to pick up GSC cams and traction control.
Fuel Overrun (aka Fuel Cut on Neptune/Fuel Decel on AEM EMS) will cause your injectors to shut off if the value is set too high. This is especially irritating with very large throttle bodies as the difference between cruise and decel is extremely small TPS changes.

Yup. That's exactly what was happening. This had to have been added in a software update at some point. I never messed with it, didn't think it was changed from the stock settings.
Well I finally noticed the 500-4000 rpm values were higher than the values suggested by Hondata (again I never touched them so that is weird). Anyway, now that I have the values in the middle of the range Hondata suggests it hasn't been stumbling. I also noticed when I pick up the throttle during light cruise the engine is much smoother now. I think it's fixed. Only been a day but where it would usually stumble it hasn't . Keeping my fingers crossed.
Well the stumble returned over the weekend. It seems to be prone to happen more during warmer weather. I was able to get a really good datalog of the problem Mon morning so I'm trying to figure out what is going on. Although I'm 99% sure it is not an ignition problem I am holding off on doing anything until I fix this. So the CPR, GSC cams, and traction control will have to wait.
No. Hondata says the coils can be held down by the wire cover but I bought a plate instead. The kit also doesn't include the billet distributor cover (pictured with kit)
Hondata's Coil Pack Retrofit system as shown in the picture above.
The driving vids I discussed with you are on hold til I get this fixed. Interestingly the car runs hard as ever in anger, it's just cruising when it happens. Since I'm not sure what the hell is going on I'm holding off on hammering the car for now.
I had thought about just driving the car using only 0% or 100% TPS but I would probably end up arrested or in the hospital in short order!
