I used to tow my teggy track car with a towbar (4wheels on the groud)to the tracks. Last winter I swap a kaaz to replace my oem lsd. Now I m wondering if towing it with the tow bar my hurt de lsd...
From what I understand, the cone that push the clutch plate only engage went torque is apply to it... So from what I understand there should be no prob but...
If anyone has some experience about towing with a towbar I d like to hear you!
Thanks!

I've towed with an itr lsd on a towbar, but never a clutch plate with preload... interesting topic, personally I wouldn't stress too much on it, since the diff is spinning & so is the gear set everything is still getting lubricated. worst case scenario it has slight clutch plate wear but I really can't see much of that happening either.
I think your way too worried about it personally.
Just think logically about it, WHY would it be a problem? What physically would be effected negatively?
wheels spin, axles spin, diff spins, gear set spins, fluid lubricates all transmission internals including the diff .... Where is a problem?

Hi Max,
Thanks for your inquiry.
Yes using a tow bar can cause damage to the lsd unit and it can also
cause uneven wear on the clutch plates. Car dolly will work better so the front
drive axle is up in the dolly.
Best Regards,
Ray / Kaaz USA
I'm trying to understand myself either why that answer...
Uneven wear? That's like saying I turned too many times left on the throttle & not enough times right on the throttle & thus there is uneven wear. sounds like bs to me.
clutch plate lsd's do wear out with time, I don't think towing a car not under load should increase any wear. I'm sure a couple laps on track will wear it down faster than driving in neutral & turning.
