Hey guys, I'm looking for a write up for a b16a oil pan install as mine has messed up threads on the oil pan drainage hole and is leaking a little oil on are new drive way. Also the oil pan gasket looks bad. This motor is old its a b16a I bought from Hmotorsonline about 6 years ago and put on 70kmi I should of replaced it then but I didnt..


So if anyone can explain what I have to Torque the bolts to and which RVT to I use to help seal the pan up would be great. Also does the rvt go on the block/gasket or Pan/gasket????????

 

8.5ft lbs.
just tighten them in a criss-cross pattern, it's not THAT important which one you start with, just don't do one side, then the other or a big circle.
and you don't really NEED RTV on the gasket, but if you do, put it on one side or both sides, it doesn't matter. but you the high-temp petroleum resistant rtv. (i think it's the black one)

It took me 3 seconds on google to find the torque specs. use it next time.

I just picked up a Oem b16 oil pan gasket now im looking for this website i found a oem b16 oil pan for $105.00 but i closed out of the page ...
