How to make my Integra lighter and faster?
I was wondering how to make my car lighter and FASTER. I was told to remove few things from the engine including the interior. I also want less stuff from my engine bay (keeping it real clean too)
So far I have removed spare tire, backseat, wall panel, CD deck, speakers (planning to) and not sure if I should remove the carpet...
I installed Skunk2 camber kit, lower control arms, skunk2 exhaust (not yet) that's all I can think of what I have done to my car.
Any advices to help answering my question? Thanks.

Might as well compare aftermarket weights to the stock part weights too.
How stripped of a car are you willing to drive?
What year/type of integra(they made them from 86-01 so a year and body style would be nice to know)
Since I don't know what u have i'll say:
Remove sunroof
Remove power steering
Remove all carpet and sound deadening
Remove rear wiper assembly
Remove SRS equipment
Convert power windows to manual
Lexan windows
Ummm...not sure what else and I gotta clock out from work so thats all I gots.

If you're willing to search, there was an Integra build thread on here of a sub-2000 lb silver DC2 Integra with a K20 swap. It was also featured in Honda Tuning I believe. Maybe someone in here may know who I'm talking about.
one of the first things i like to do is lighten the drive train, rims, flywheel, cam gears.... lightening up the drive train and engine components will not only gain u power to weight but gain back ur lost HP.... little more expensive then just taking out the seats and power stearing and power stearing should have been taking out when u got it, unnecessary wear and tear and the engine bay just looks better..... a/c if u have it. i would leave the carpet but thats just me....

just take everything u dont 100% need out... ive managed to get my 2000 integra ls down to 2212lbs.. thats with a built turbo motor and i havent bought one thing for weight reduction, no cf at all. i still have all my front interior as well. only thing stripped out of the interior is back seats, rear carpet and speakers... you just have to look hard for things to take off. every little wire, washer, pin, bracket adds up. i have a buddy with a 97 integra thats street drivin weighing in at 1980lbs and it as well has a full front interior. lots of cf though.
weight reduction in my opinion is by far the best mod, usually its free, it adds the equivalent of adding power ( not lbs per lbs ) its less strain on parts, better on gas and fewer things to potentionally replace.

I requested a short story for a title.

sorry had to
if ur luky enough to have the rs model you already have a good start, but like everyone else said, carbon fiber parts and interior removal, althought i thin u will soon find out that u will want to keep the interior

i would get as many cf pannels you can afford, id get me a buddy club cat back! that sk2 ex weighs twice as much as the auluminum bc ex! my bc spec 3 cat back was stupid light!!, or just get a crx and swap your motor. and everything that was metioned.
Btw, removing all this stuff can make your car loud and cold too. Even just condensation inside the car. Ugh.
I guess I don't get why people do this to street cars. I don't often see stripped out cars that look nice or comfortable. I'd leave stripping the car to be the last thing you do, but I know most people do it because it's free and they're cheap.
Maybe the point is to make it that fraction of a second faster for street racing.
they are probably talking about the sound deadening.. there is about 20 lbs of it if you strip it all out front to back. it makes the car a lot louder while driving.
So far so good...
1. Removed carpet
2. Removed sound deadening tar
3. Removed Rear wiper
4. Removed backseats (rear and trunk) front still in progress
5. Removed everything from trunk
6. Removed spare tire
7. Removed back panels
8. Removed speakers
9. Removed CD deck
Few more to go.. HA
