Progress Coil-over Special Promotion
Do post pics and review, I recently saw these while on the search for FF type 1 but everyone told me these are better. Prove them right!
I'll be ordering a set soon as my rods/pistons or other car sells, seems like a very quality product
One question though, ideally I want to lower my EK sedan until there is no fender gap (tire is flush with fender), anyone know if that is lower than these coilovers are designed for? Because I don't want to have a big wheel gap just to stay within the designed limits of these coilovers (2.5" lower on the front page?)

350# is our suggested top end for the cs2 front damper, but we are picky and like to have adequate control for aggressive driving. For big spring rates and non-street applications, we suggest a set of custom cs1s.

I bought my kit over 6 months ago but just now install it as the car getting put back together.
I bought the 350f/350r and also extra pair of 500lbs for the rears just incase I'll end up needing them at the track.
However, as I'm installing it, i see these 2 short springs with perches....

The instructions didn't indicate anything about them and on your website there weren't any pictures of it. Please lmk what these are and what I should do with them.
Thanks - Charlie Moua

The tender springs, the small ones, go on top of the 500# rears. The machined alum. Adapters go between the main spring and tender. Use this assembly with the 500s only. Hope this helps. Note: we no longer ship the 350/500 kits with these components.

yes that help put me at ease.
Q?
what do those tiny springs do?
Why discontinue offering the "tender spring components" in your current kit ?
Would a set of these tender springs allow me to gain a little more height until I can finally downsize to a 16" rims or will that effectively "soften" my spring rate or do they only prevent the 500# spring from unseating when unsprung?

I'm having clearance issues running an 18" rim and 215/40 tires with the 350# spring rate up front (rears are absolutely perfect). I'm at the top of the sleeve now and I'm getting wheel well scrapage.

We only use the round wire tenders (shown in the post above) in the rear for a number of reasons.
We could consider going to a longer (free) 350# spring if you are going to stay on the 18s.
Where is the tire rubbing?
What is youir ride height mesurement?
Could you post a photo?
Sorry for the slow responses here, I have been out of town and I am still a nubie using my 3G phone for posts, etc.

They just add free length to the spring assembly, keeping the springs on the perches when the chassis is jacked up the the axle is at full droop.
Discontinued?
we are reviewing some other solutions and the tender inventory is low now. We do stock some flat-wire tender springs (race car bits), but they are quite expensive.

Here's a couple of pics.

The tire catches the inside of the fender on hard dips and potholes. To get it a little clearance on the drivers side front (it sits about 3/4" lower at that corner) I've had to seat the shock higher in the fork using the pinch bolt. Not really wanting to do this but I have to use my car. It's sitting at 13.5" from center of wheel to edge of fender. With it totally seated it's at 12.5 but then it tucks tire.
I'm in for slightly longer springs for piece of mind. Potholes down in the BFE part of the world are no joke.
Im checking for some longer springs now. I will PM you ASAP.

Im running the 350F 350R spring rate package and my ride height is set at 12 inches from center of the wheel to the top of the fender in the front and 12 3/4 inches in the rear. I hope to be ordering a sway bar from you guys soon!
Progress CS-II, my 5th event this year. I'm addicted to autocross. You guys helped me a ton with buying mine and offering driving advice. Great company!!
Finally got some good pictures!! Video coming Aug 7th!!!

Just an FYI, h22 blocks aren't heavier than normal swaps to the extent that it warrants different suspension setups for 99% of drivers/racers.
Tops, the h22 block is 20-30lbs heavier. Just don't need you to make spring rate decisions that might negatively impact your driving by asking someone for their opinion and adding 100lbs to the front because you think the engine is heavy enough to warrant that.
If you didn't keep a/c that probably made up for the weight addition.

EK, your car looks REALLY HOOKED UP in the photos, with just enough body roll for drive-ability. Would you be willing to add some setup details to your post here, like spring rates, ride heights, bar settings, tires, etc? Looking forward to some videeeeo.
THANKS...
THANKS...
Progress CS-II 350/350
22mm Progress Anti-Roll bar
Function7 Subframe brace
Volk CE28N 16x7 +33
205/45/16 Nitto NeoGen
Camber is 1.6 in the front, 1.4 in the rear
Total Toe is .04 out in the front, .05 in in the rear.
Stock y7 engine/Ex transmission
Not sure of the exact height, but the Driver's side is ~.25" higher than the passenger so the car is perfectly level when I'm solo. Thanks for that tip, over the phone with your support staff.
Since then:
Added 22mm Ex Civic Front Swaybar with ES endlinks
Just put on 205/45/16 S. Drives yesterday
Can't wait to try the S. Drives.
THANKS for posting your setup information... excellent job. I bet it still rides pretty well on decent roads too.
