yea, i got mine a week or less after i placed the order.....think it was the last set of 15x8's in matte black that anyone could have bought until the next preorder....
i was very lucky because Phils Tire Service at first had only 2 of the wheels but called me back and said a customer told them theyd wait til the next orders were made and so i basically was able to buy the whole new set from their customer
i think the reason was because the customer was able to wait because he was using the wheels for track purposes and his next race wasn't until a couple months or so

you lucked out definatly. i had a similar thing happen but didn't work out in my favor. i called before i placed my order to make sure they had 4 in stock. they said they did and i ordered them. found out a few days later that someone else ordered the last 4 15x9's in nickle finish a few hours before i did /: and the crazy thing is it was a kid that lives in my same town with a miata haha

Re: >>>POST YOUR 949 Racing wheels<<<
I'm seeing a LOT of 15x8 wheels. Is that the ideal size for an eg civic, or is it because some want to run wider tires? I was looking at the 15x7 bronze.

15x7 & 15x7.5 seem to be popular with the guys not wanting to mess with fenders at all.

Re: >>>POST YOUR 949 Racing wheels<<<
15x8 with 205/50 is perfect fit. 225/45 sometimes requires a rolled lip up front. 15x9 with 225/45 almost always requires flat rolled lips and sometimes a small spacer, depending on camber, brake package, coilover type and so on. 15x9's end up being kind of DIY, no master fitment chart. You just have to figure it out once you get the wheels on and work with it.

Re: 6UL wheels by 949racing.com, lets see em!
sorry if this is already been answered but is anyone running the 949 15x9's in there eg hatch? I've heard a lot of people say that it rubs with the upper control arms and others say it fit with no problems just a fender roll and neg camber. pictures would be nice also if any. thanks

I've been in the tire and wheel industry for 15 years kid...I know a little bit about this topic. There is nothing you can acheive using a 9" wide wheel on a fwd car that you can't with a 8 or even 7" wide wheel. Unless you're a tube frame drag car, anything over an 8 is silly. You hafta shave a major part of a suspension component to fit the wheel, and then you want to throw a larger contact patch on the car? Isn't that an oximoron?? An 8 will fit a 225 and 235 width for your track car. Thats MORE than enough for our cars. For street use, the 8 isn't gonna benefit you at ALL over the 7. If you want more grip in the corners, you should buy a better tire, not a wider tire, and then use proper alignment angles. Unless you're drag racing, you don't need anything wider than a 205 or 195. All this "fatlacehellafailcanipackitstretchedtirebullsh it" needs to die. We're smarter than this guys come on...leave all that crap for the euro ***s.

wow. hey i'm not for or against the whole "fatlacehellafailcanipackitstretchedtirebullsh it". i just understand why someone would want to fit them. not testing your 15 plus year experience. i honestly love it when people try to fit wheels that dont look good just for the sake of having the biggest or flushest on their cars cuz the whole concept is goofy and amusing sometimes. but hey, i like all styles of cars to not just hondas. vw, mini trucks, lowriders, vip, exotics... i just see you post a lot of "i wish this trend would die" stuff and think you should just let them fail and have the satisfaction knowing you wont do the same.

I see what you're sayin ed7, and I understand that people like all kinds of cars and thats cool! But I don't log onto Honda-Tech or NWP to look at euro's and lowriders. I myself hate VW's with a passion, partially due to where I live which is about 20 min. away from Techtonics. So theres ratty piece of **** euro's everywhere and they come to me to mount there ****. I'll greet em' out in the damn parking lot and tell em' to take that garbage elsewhere. Hahaha but really man, just sayin in here that wider isn't better for 95% of the cars in these forums. Unless it's Evo, Subie, Supra etc...8's are pushin it and 9's are just dumb. Just my 2.

Re: 6UL wheels by 949racing.com, lets see em!
No fitment issues, i have about 3-5 mm of spacing on the rear before hitting the control arms and the fronts fit fine as well. no rubbing and no rolling of the fenders. No spacers either. 15X8 with 225/45/15.
Oh and to the poster above... I am not sure why he is talking smack... When i am running 8 or 9 inch wide wheels on the front of a honda it is for GRIP especially when using Hoosier A6 or Nitto- NT-01 R compounds. Why else would i want that wide of a tire up front...traction...duh!!

And if you read what I posted, you would have seen me say that the wider tires will fit just fine on an 8. In fact, they are probably recommended for an 8, not a 9. So like I said - there is NO point in running a 9" wide wheel on a fwd car for anything but drag."Duh?"
