ITR brake setup and rear disc brake conv.
Heyy guys,
I've always wanted to go for a larger brake setup for my 97 EK in the front and do a disc brake conversion for the rear.
I saw a couple of people selling them used and I was wondering if I was to buy them, what do I have to look for when buying used calipers and rotors?
Any inputs would help.
Thanks!

if you have 96-00 EX knuckles (or 94-00 integra or 99-00 si), you are using "integra"-sized front calipers, which use a 10.3" front rotor.
if they are NOT 96-00 civic EX knuckles, then you have DX knuckles, which use a smaller caliper & a 9.5" front rotor

the ITR caliper is stamped 17CL15VN
the 17CL15VN is one of the biggest single piston calipers honda produces.
you can easily identify this caliper from the stamp.
this caliper can also be found on:
97-01 ITR,
97-99 CL V6,
91-95 legend,
96-98 rl,
95-98 tl,
92-94 vigor,
95-02 accord v6,
91-97 accord wagon,
97-01 crv,
95-01 odyssey,
92-96 prelude vtec
& 97-01 prelude
once you obtain the calipers, you'll need to seperate the caliper bracket.
the bracket is stamped either 23T, 25T or 28T.
the bracket will need to be milled 2-3mm (or 1/8").
* (the machined brackets will also accept NSX & 94-95 legend 2-pot front calipers)

the rear disc conversion is very straightforward...once you acquire the rear disc conversion, everything bolts up
any rear disc will work, all the makes listed below use the same trailing arm, rear caliper (stamped 7CLP13S) and 9.4" rear rotor
90-93 integra DA
CRX Si/ EF civic Si
92-95 civic Si
94-01 integra (except ITR)
del sol Si
del sol VTEC
99-00 civic Si

....or you can get the scarebird kit and use your existing rear trailing arms. I'd also recommend the EP3 rear disc upgrade with RSX calipers.
sorry to revive this but if I got 98 Accord V6 rear calipers for an 95 Integra, do I use the brackets that it comes it or do I need to source new brackets?
