***OFFICIAL 8th Gen General Discussion/Rant/INTRODUCTIONS Thread***
ha i'm here! but only to take some stuff i have attached to my work email and send it to church's. im going there on saturday so this will be my last post
That video was so stupid. Wasn't even a funny part about it. Notice the only people that ever make those horrendous call for attention mockery vehicles are the ugliest flippin' dudes that are like 32 and still live in their parents' basement? "Look at me, I will never have sex...with a person."
And that S2K is sick. However, all that money put into the body, turbo and Volks and he's still rolling on stock brakes.

So finally dropped my Si off at the body shop this afternoon. Hopefully, it takes no more than 5 days to replace the passenger side door skin, straighten the fender and quarter, replace the front bumper and lip and re-spray the damaged areas FBP.
I have to rock my '94 Accord for the next week, but at least there's 32+mpg without even trying.

Best of luck bro.
And the AP, I agree with you on the brakes. You would think mods that make the car go faster and stop faster would be prudent decisions before adding pneumatic jacks.

lol. Love how the policeman hauls *** for an entire 15 feet to get to that crashed bike.

I wonder if he got in trouble for anything. Biker probably got spooked at a cop sitting idly in that corner.
I'm betting he probably did get a citation. Most people's first instinct when they suddenly see a speed-trap cruiser is to tap their brakes. I think that's exactly what he did and although I don't ride a bike......I know that hitting the front brakes on a bike while taking a corner at speed is a big no-no.
Similar to people who tap on their brakes at photo enforcement zones despite the fact they're traveling well below the threshold for the cameras to fire. That causes everyone behind them to proceed to slam on their brakes and jam **** up.
Not sure if any of you are NYers or close except for maybe Dan but a few of my friends and I are having a BBQ/Meet in dutchess county (close to poughkeepsie). We always get a pretty good turnout and im trying to get more 8th gen support.

This is the headline over on 8th civic posted by Paul from College Hills Honda
"I just got confirmation from my inside rep that drastic changes are on the way for the 2011 Si.
As you may know, the 2011 civic is going to be a completely new model, but it gets even better.
Honda will be offering the Si model with the K23A1 (2.3L Turbocharged engine 4 cylinder from the RDX) which has seen the power output revised to 275HP and 300ft/lbs torque. All this power will be put down to the ground by a new revolutionary CVT transmission with paddle shifters. Due to extensive problems with the 6 speed transmission grinding, Honda will not be offering a manual.
Also standard will be iPad dock integration on the dash. "
hmmmm

There's no way that that is happening. There was no concept for it, there was no press release. Dramatic changes like that wouldn't make it to consumers hands until 2012 at the earliest. Besides, I thought Honda did away with the K23.
Yeah...the most unbelievable part of it for me is Honda (the king of manual transmissions) not offering a manual on their Si. And 275/300? Is it gonna be AWD? lol
