Default Auto to Manual Swap: Parts Compatibility

I have read the FAQ on doing an auto to manual swap in an EK and the list of parts needed to do the swap, and maybe this is a stupid question, but would the parts (including frame and mount) from an EG work in an EK?

I'd like to just buy a 5 SP parts car to cut back on costs, but finding an EG parts car is much easier than finding an EK.

When they say 92-00 parts are the same that means the "eg" is the same as the "ek".

you need the upper bracket and mount from an EK, EG version is completely different, same thing goes for the clutch hardline, a lot of the other stuff like the transmission itself is interchangeable.

Sorry to rehash this thread, but just trying to get a definite idea of what parts I could get from an EG and what I need from the EK. Here is the parts list I have for an auto to manual swap:

Tranny
Starter from manual w/ bolts
Flywheel
Manual throttle body and throttle cable
Intake manifold from manual
Upper tranny bracket from manual
Rear tranny mount from manual
Lower tranny mount from manual
Pedals
Shift Linkage
Clutch lines and coupler
Slave cylinder
Master Cylinder

So I guess first off, is this list correct and/or missing anything? And which of these parts are EK-specific, and which could I grab from an EG? Thanks for any help!

Tranny -> EK/EG
Starter from manual w/ bolts -> EK/EG
Flywheel -> EK/EG
Manual throttle body and throttle cable -> Depends, if its a Y7 you don't have to change it, if its a Y8 you could use any EG TB (D16Z6/D15B7 would be preferable) or a 5 speed Y8 TB
Intake manifold from manual -> If its a Y7 you don't need to change it, its a Y8 get one from a 5 speed Y8, or any EG (Z6 is preferable)
Upper tranny bracket from manual -> must come from a 5 speed EK
Rear tranny mount from manual -> Must come from an EK IIRC the automatic version is the same as the manual
Lower tranny mount from manual -> EG/EK
Pedals -> EG/DC pedals *should* work, but the part numbers are different than EK pedals
Shift Linkage -> EG/EK
Clutch lines and coupler -> EK these are quite a bit different than the EG/DC version
Slave cylinder -> EG/DC/EK
Master Cylinder -> EG/DC/EK

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. And as the next poster pointed out I did forget the ECU from my list. Is it true that my auto ECU would still work, only with a CEL?
