If anyone sees anything that they know for sure to be wrong, would you please let me know so I can correct it? OR, if you have any information to fill in the gaps, please let me know.

Starting with an H, that automatically means it's not a Prelude tranny. Obviously, Preludes start with M.

Where did you hear of this H2J4?

EDIT: After a bit of research, I've found that the H2 prefix was used in 90-93 Accords.

It's probably an Accord F20/F22 transmission, but we're not dealing with those here [if they're not used with an H22].

If the trans is out of the car, use this to determine the ratios.

So we're going with F22B SOHC trans?

No idea. Find out the ratios and see how bad the situation is.

now we just need a list of hybrid ratios people have tried by swapping gears 1-5 around and reactions of how the outcome was...

Very good! Also, I do believe M2F4 = '93 (not '92). Easy mistake.

Edit: Okay another thing...Some of those Prelude models debuted in '91 in Japan so some of those trans codes have the wrong time span by a year. I'll look into it when I'm off work.

Well, I'v actually got a buddy with F22 Trans & H22, and mine definitely has shorter gears. Same thing with anyother buddy with H23 Trans & H22. Shorter Gears. So Apparanently It's not that bad, But I'm still curious as to what it is.

Updated with the JDM 5G Prelude Xi/Si tranny code "M2A5". Information courtesy of Howlinator on PP.com. Apparently he's either the only guy online that owns an Xi or the only one with enough courage to admit it.

i was wondering if mixing and matchin can be done w/ these tranny's. I'll be picking a beater f22a while i save up for a better motor. there is a m2b4 and a t2t4 fs and im unsure which will give me complications if any. BTW where can i read more about gear ratios?

All transmissions listed are 100% plug-n-play with the exception of the ATTS transmissions. What more do you want to know about gear ratios?

i guess it's fundamental knowledge.

I was curious why gear ratios vary but are very similar when compared to the transmissions and what the ratios actually mean?

Does anyone import the M2P4 or M2R4 trans, or know where I could order those EDM parts? I'm not so much interested in the entire trans as I am the mainshaft and 1st & 2nd countershaft gears.
