so i got a new cluster and i had to take it apart to change the odometer to the right mileage, but when i went to hook the cluster back up my gas meter went beyond full and just stays there without ever going down. even after driving 100 miles it's still above the F. anyone know how to fix this?

 

Did the guage work on the old cluster?

 

yea it was working perfectly...it was actually working on this cluster too, but i had to pull it apart and change the odometer to the right mileage, but it's not working now...could it be a loose screw?

What year Civic? The wire/terminal at the back of the gauge assembly going from the dash gas gauge to the sending unit is grounding out.

 

its a 2000...it was working a few days ago, but once i started messing with the cluster it stopped working

 

Check terminal B10 of connector B at the back of the gauge assembly (see diagrams above and below). It may be bent or damaged, causing it to ground out.
