Yeah, I've seen that thread. In fact, I responded in that thread multiple times.

Here are some pics of my OEM header I have some questions about it... Its a jdm prelude top half and f22 accord bottom half...

Okay my question is do you guys think it would be worth it to hack the pinch out of the header between the header and flex pipe and weld it back together... The flex pipe is about 3" so i would just weld 3" piping to this..
does that pinch take away horsepower....

Okay I have read from a credible source that any amount of back pressure is bad... It is created by the header restriction and it is also created buy unequal header runner length's.... Anyway Im cutting the pinch out and welding the flex pipe as far up as it will go.... I will make a mark and cut of the excess pipe to have a 3 in collector so it well be better than the camp 1320 and all those other exhaust with 2.5 collectors on them.... AHAHAHAAHAHA

I am not surprised. I ran 3" exhaust piping on my D16A6 years ago on the street, and saw great gains then!

do you think its better to cut the collector off and run two cats and two mufflers and point them down under that shift linkage becuase .. possibly two of the cylinders fire at tha same time and meet up in the collector and this causes back pressure... would this reduce back pressure even more?

I had a 2.36" apexi on my b16a. And it was way louder then my 3" full vibrant exhaust. And 3" pulls allot better everywhere across the board. I tryed 2.36 a couple of years later, but took it off, and put the old 3" back on... way more power!!!

I wonder what the comparo between 2.5" and 3" would look like.
On my ~200whp H22, the 2.5" into a 2.5" Vibrant muffler was almost exactly the same as an open header, minus the abusing noise.
I guess my ultimate curiousity is can I make a quieter 3"(with resonators) that will make the same power as my 2.5" straight through setup.
